Outstanding drawing on ecru paper made with water based paint, oil sticks and crayons attributed to Neo Pop Expressionist artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. Likely inspired by Basquiat's exhibition with friend and Pop artist Andy Warhol at the Palladium in 1985. The gallery exhibition poster shows them with boxing gloves in front of a bright yellow background. This artwork showcases Basquiat as a crowned boxer with royal blue trunks fighting his opponent with polka dots trunks who also bears a crown. Signed on the lower center right in black marker: Jean Michel Basquiat. Stamped on verso: This will certify that it is the oblation of the Authentication Committee of the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat it is a genuine work by JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT. Signed in purple marker: SAMO in between Basquiat's crown design and skull. Also includes three New York Gallery stamps and a Certificate of Authenticity stamp that is unfilled. To Be Sold With No ReserveA Quran,Central Asia, 19th century or later,Arabic manuscript on paper, 487 leaves, 13 lines to the page written in black naskh, ruled back, surahs title written in red, verses marked by red dots and verse markers in the margins in various colour, the end of surah al-Kahf (XVIII) with a polychrome decoration, an unfinished polychrome bifolio with only the right-hand side remaining, marking the middle of the volume, the beginning missing, the text starting at surah al-Baqarah (II), v.10, in a yellow textile binding , folio 35 x 22cm.Provenance: Private UK collection formed in the 1960s and 1970s Condition Report: Condition report: In fair condition, incomplete, the beginning of the text is missing, various stains throughout and traces of mould, occasional tears, the leather binding with a later glued cover, various smudges and minor later annotations, the illumination unfinished, a Russian stamp impression possibly reading фагаровской (?).

A very rare and unusual stone carved stamp seal believed to be from the crusader era of the 11th century onwards. The British museum have looked at pictures of this artefact and were unable to identify it fully as they didn’t have anything to compare it with in their collection! They agreed that from its style it was highly likely from the Holy Lands/Byzantine with what appears to be a religious figure/face carved directly out of a small stone and a hole has been drilled through to allow it to be carried with thread/twine around the neck. A very unusual piece of history as the majority of stamp seals recovered are made of lead! Dia25mm. H18mm. 6.51g.

With BBC Gramophone Library stamp on both labels. Housed with a clean original (red) mono company inner. The original mono sleeve is in VG condition with a protective plastic wallet laminated to the sleeve which contains archive stickers.

Extremely few on the ground original UK release of the April 1966 LP from Alexis Korner and co. featuring guest vocalist Duffy Power! The record (released on tiny UK label Spot Records, JW 551) is in glossy VG condition with some light surface/storage marks though no heavier feelable scratches. With BBC library stamp on side 1. The sleeve is in G+ condition with two archive stickers to the front (as this is laminated they could be removed), with the reverse bottom flipback tab lifting/torn, though with care this could be restored. With two archive stickers to the reverse.

The record (EMPL 1002) is in extremely fine Ex condition showing only a couple of very fine and light paper hairline marks, these are never at all heavier in nature. With faded library stamps to the clean textured labels. The sleeve is in neat VG condition with a small section of the bottom front right section lifting a little, a small seam split along the bottom edge, a library stamp to the reverse and 2 library stickers to the reverse.

The record (77 Records, 77 LEU 12/8) is in neat VG+ condition showing a few light and minor surface marks though absolutely no heavier feelable scratches. With faded BBC stamp to both labels and songwriters credit in pen to the side 2 label. The sleeve is in VG condition with four archive stickers on the fully laminated sleeve (which can often be removed), some creasing, a couple of small paper tears and some track timings in pen to the reverse. The spine is in clear fully legible order.
