DELANY, c.1720, 25cm two-stage swamped barrel London proved with maker's stamp, signed rounded shaped lock, plain brass furniture comprising eared butt cap, regulation sideplate, baluster ramrod pipe, shaped escutcheon, well made later brass trigger guard (unfinished), brass tipped wooden ramrod, full-stock (some worm holes, two chips). Together with an identical lock (parts missing). Sear and both sidenails missing from the pistol.

Neat repair to back of grip, pit/knock to left side of barrel.

For the Argentinian market this piece was retailed by Paris of Buenos Ayres and bears the Lefaucheux stamp.

GT. behind trigger guard. Bore good, some light scattered rust.

M. Enfield storekeeper's stamp, 1, DC within a diamond. Retaining much original finish overall.

The frontal QVC brass plate with honours to Central India, one only lion's head side support, the shortened chin-chain is an infantry officer's 1869 pattern.. Two colour woollen plume boss with correct pattern button. Full length yellow cord cap and body lines, red horse hair falling plume with correct pattern brass holder. The inside of the crown with official stamp, 'Property Of The Aldershot Tattoo', the body and peak with some scarring to the surface, small moth nips to the red side panels, the plume boss with stitching faults, otherwise good sound condition, worthy of restoration.

Underside of hilt marked to the 16th Light Dragoons and scabbard marked for Woolley.
