ATTRIBUTED TO GEORGES JACOB: A FAUTEUIL D'OFFICIER with a broad dished leather upholstered back with round headed brass border, above a similar overstuffed seat with projecting and scrolling front legs, 32.5" high x 26" wide, circa 1800. See illustration Similar examples of this most unusual chair have been offered for sale by Sotheby's in their auctions on 13th December 1994 and 7th December 2010. Jacob's stamp is found on a similar armchair from the collection of Prince Murat sold at Hotel Drouot on 14th June 1983.
A boxed Dinky Toys diecast model, 563 Heavy Tractor, a scarce variant of this model in dark blue with mid blue rollers and green tracks, the latter being somewhat perished and one of the tracks has a chunk missing out of it, overall F/G, in F/G plain buff card box with red and white label bearing model illustration, with 'M 48' stamp to base of box.
