1914 Iron Cross 1st Class in Original Case and Outer Card Case of Issue, superb example of an original Iron Cross 1st class which retains much of the original finish to the centre of the award. Reverse has the original pin and catch fixing. Underneath the catch is a maker stamp, ‘O’, believe should be ‘KO’ but the ‘K’ not visible. Award is housed in its original leatherette case of issue with outline of the award to the lid. The award is housed in the original card outer case of issue with original printed label to the centre and a opened seal sticker to the opening flap of the card box. Superb example.

1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class in Deluxe Case of Issue, good example of a 1914 Iron Cross 2nd class with a “H” stamp to the ring. The cross retains much of the original finish and is housed in an original private purchase deluxe case of issue. The lid of the case has card decoration mounted in the form of Iron Cross motif and ribbon in the German national colours. Interior of the case with scoped out section for the cross and the medal ribbon mounted to the interior of the lid. Overall a very nice deluxe example.

Rare WW1 German Bavarian 3rd Chevauleger Regiment M-1910 Other Ranks Feldmutze / Kratzchen, superb example of a very rare and hard to find Kratzchen, produced in field grey wool with pink central band and pink piping to the crown. Cap is complete with its original reichs and Bavarian state cockades. Cap is also fitted with the original blue / grey trench camouflage band. Interior with cream cloth lining having clear ink stampings, for size 56, maker ‘Max Horst Stadtbergen’ and also regimental stamp in rectangle ‘3.C.R’. Cap is a superb example which shows very little wear. Rare cap to find.

WW1 German M-1910 Prussian Train Battalion Other Ranks Feldmutze / Kratzchen, good example of a field grey M-1910 other ranks kratzchen with dark blue central band and piping to the crown. Complete with reichs and Prussian state cockades. Interior with cloth lining which has various ink stampings including a Belgium (Flanders) tailors stamp, which would indicate made in occupied Belgium.

WW1 German Prussian Artillery Other Ranks M-15 Kugelhelm with Matching Trench Cover, superb example of a Prussian M-15 kugelhelm which retains its original grey metal Prussian helmet plate to the centre, original leather chinstrap supporting state and national reichs cockades. Grey metal front trim and rear spine. Circular spike base with domed rivets and artillery removable ball top (kugel). Interior of the helmet retains its original leather liner system. The rear peak is stamped “F.A.R 44” for Feld Artillery Regiment Nr44, also stamped with date 1916 and the other side of the peak is inked with name “C. J. HENICK”. The helmet is complete with its original cloth trench cover which has stitched numerals in green felt ‘44’ to the centre, some of the green felt now absent. The cover is also stamped with the regimental ink stamp “F.A.R. 44” and date 1915. Black hook fixings to the cover are still present. Overall this is a fantastic example of an original artillery M-15 helmet with the added bonus of having its original matching and regimentally marked field cover.

Spine stamped with crowned acceptance stamp and ‘17’ for 1917. Blade also marked “WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER A.G. OBERNDORF a.N“. Blade 36 ½ cms, overall 52cms.

Some wear to the blade but generally a very good example.

Housed in the original scabbard with nickel silver mounts. NSFK acceptance stamp to the top scabbard mount. Short pattern leather hanging strap with its original clip fitting attached to the scabbard. Double edged blade with makers trademark, known as the balloon man, to the reverse. Some light spotting but generally a very good example.

Third Reich RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst) Enlisted Ranks Dagger by Carl Julius Krebs, Solingen, standard two piece stag horn grips, plated fittings to the grip. Housed in the original scabbard with plated mounts having fixed sided bar fitting. Hewer type blade with motto ‘Arbeit aldet’ in gothic lettering. Reverse of the blade with RAD acceptance stamp marks and the trade mark for Carl Julius Krebs, Solingen. The blade shows some polishing and evidence of sharpening to the blade edge, this has resulted in the bottom part of the motto being removed.

Third Reich Police Bayonet by E&F Horster Solingen, good example with finely detailed top pommel in the form of the eagles head. Two piece stag horn grips with aluminium police eagle emblem to the centre. Cross guard with oakleaves relief to the obverse, the reverse only has partial oakleaves and stamped ‘S.D.IV.386. Housed in its original black leather scabbard with nickel plated fittings. Attached to the scabbard is an original black leather bayonet frog. Attached to the frog is an other ranks pattern leather and cloth portepee (knot). Plain straight blade with fuller to the back edge. Horster makers stamp and to the reverse of the blade stamped with written details of the maker. Some light surface spots to the blade but otherwise a generally good example.

Silver bullion wire piping to the crown of the cap. Grey cloth lining to the interior with inked size stamp. Interesting stitching to the crown to make the cap tight in the top. Good example.

Rare Hitler Youth / NPEA (Students Association) Adolf Hitler School Overseas / Side Cap, standard light tan cloth side cap with red piping to the crown. Embroidered short winged NSDAP / NPEA cap eagle to the front and enamelled HJ diamond emblem below. Interior of the cap with leather sweatband and linen RZM HJ style rectangular label. Cloth lining with white stamp for the Adolf Hitler School (A H S in rectangle). The cap shows some service wear and at some stage has become damp which has made the red piping run into the cloth and the label faded to the inside. The Adolf Hitler Schools (AHS) were created by the SS and were schools set up for a selected number of students aged between 14-18. The students were chosen for their physical fitness and political dedication over educational. The idea of the school was focused on political indoctrination rather than academic studies. The SS often selected future officers from the schools.

Third Reich Bahnschutzpolizei Full Uniform Grouping, consisting of enlisted ranks peaked cap in blue / grey wool with grey piping to the crown and bordering the black central band. Aluminium Bahnshutz pattern cap eagle and correct pattern aluminium cockade with winged wheel to the lower section. Complete with its chinstrap and plain black domed buttons. Interior with grey sweatband with perforated forehead section. Cloth interior with celluloid diamond with gilt tooled tailor details. Cap shows some service wear to the sweatband and a small moth nip to the top centre. Four pocket blue grey wool field tunic with darker shade of blue collar with embroidered winged wheel collar tabs. Original shoulder straps with aluminium devices. Pebbled buttons to the front, pockets and shoulders. Interior with blue cloth lining and remains of a ink stamp. Original pair of straight leg trousers in the blue grey cloth with thin grey piping to the leg. Set remains in very good condition. (3 items)

Lot 1007

Large WW2 German Battle Flag (Reichskriegsflagge), very good example with Iron Cross to the corner and swastika to the centre. Edge with ink stamps of the marine eagle over M acceptance stamp. Remains of other stamps visible including the size which appears to be 200 x 325. Due to the large size, the flag is constructed from two parts with a fold line going through the centre. Flag is generally an excellent example with all the colours remaining bright. These items were brought home by Corporal Eric Albert Kerridge Cameronians (Scottish Rifles), he was stationed in Kiel and it is believed it was here that he picked up these items and the other war souvenirs which are listed in this auction. A DIAMOND AND GOLD SPRUNG BANGLE The sprung bangle with polished sections and rope twist detail between, the front three sections set with brilliant cut diamonds, approximately 0.70 carats total, with indistinct stamps Size/dimensions: inner width 5.2cm, bracelet 1cm wide Gross weight: 65.7 grams Condition Report: The bangle has scratches where it appears to have been previously acid tested. One of the indistinct stamps is 50, possibly from a 750 stamp, and partial letters, possibly dp or ap. The diamond set sections have been rhodium plated, some of the rhodium plating is rubbed off.
