Sarawak. 1953-63 display collection on leaves regarding J.C.B. Fisher, CMG, OBE, formerly Sarawak Specialists' Society member #56 (joined in 1949) and Divisional Resident at Limbang (1952) and Miri (1957). Being a philatelist, he acquired (or created) some interesting covers including for the 1953 Coronation: corner block of twelve with sheet number 001 on plain FDC from Baram; strip of 3 on illustrated FDC from Sibu, and block of 24 on cover. Also various commercial covers and airletters, and two FDCs for the 1.10.57 QE II definitives (not including the earlier 30ct), one illustrated, and the other a large cover, every stamp having a sheet number (eleven of which are 001). An interesting collection. Fisher has some significance in that he received advance information about the December 1962 rebellion, which information was passed to the government and police a day before hostilities commenced
Sierra Leone. 1935 Silver Jubilee set in blocks with sheet number from the top right of the sheet, mint. 1d block of six with Pl. '3' R2/5 lightning conductor, barest touch of a hinge on R1/4, variety unmounted; 3d block of ten, one stamp with toned perfs; 5d block of ten, one stamp with small toned spot on reverse; 1/- block of four with sheet no. 001, faint toned spot on top selvedge, hinged on selvedge only. British Occupation of Former Italian Colonies. M.E.F. 1942 orange envelope (20 X 13½cm) with vertical strip of three 2½ds, the upper stamp square stops, the lower two round stops. Asmara Centro CDSs of 19.9.42 and registered with provisional etiquette handstamped ASMARA CENTRO (Type H9), also round Censor 2 in violet. B/s ASMARA ERITREA RACCOMANDANTE and Indian-style FPO 90 of same date. SG M8b

Unmounted mint Plate 1 block of four from lower right corner of the sheet, with a natural line on the gum mentioned for accuracy only. A Royal Worcester coffee set comprising six each coffee cups and saucers, pattern no. Z1754, decorated puce, blue, yellow and gilt, with puce factory date stamp for 1938 and additional puce Viking longboat mark, complete with six hallmarked .925 silver and enamel decorated spoons, in fitted case.
