Manufactured in 1964 and supplied new by AFN Ltd. - (Frazer-Nash Cars) prior to being first registered in 1966. The 356 Registry have confirmed that they believe that this example had been upgraded with a 1600 Super 90 engine by the supplying dealer in period.Pleasingly, accompanying this lovely coupé is a history file which contains the original drivers manual, Porsche service book, a wealth of invoices for maintenance over the years, old MOT certificates, Tax discs, insurance certificates and, notably, an invoice for an engine rebuild in 1976 just before the car disappeared into long term storage.Finished in Bali Blue (Baliblau), the overall condition of this ‘barn discovery’ appears good and quite solid but most importantly it retains much of its original equipment. Atkinson nahm als leitender Mediziner an der Expedition teil, verließ Afghanistan jedoch kurz nach der Besetzung Kabuls durch die Briten und veröffentlichte einen Reisebericht und das vorliegende Ansichtenwerk, welches die verschiedenen Stationen des britischen Marsches von Indien über den Bolan-Pass nach Kandahar und bis nach Kabul dokumentiert. Der Band versammelt besonders prachtvolle Ansichten von Kabul, darunter eine Basarszene und zwei Ansichten der wunderschönen Gärten von Babur. Die dramatischen Tafeln sind eine umfangreiche Serie, die den Marsch der britischen Truppen durch den engen Bolan-Pass auf dem Weg zur Einnahme von Kandahar zeigt. - Etwas gebräunt, Ränder teils leicht stockfleckig. Atkinson participated in the expedition as chief medical officer, but left Afghanistan shortly after the occupation of the Kabul by the British and then one Travelogue and the this view work, which documents the different stations of the British March of India about the Bolan Pass to Kandahar and to the Kabul. The volume gathers particularly splendid views of Kabul, including a bazaar scene and two views of the beautiful gardens of Babur, but the most dramatic panels are an extensive series showing the march of British troops through the narrow Bolan Pass on their way to the capture of Kandahar. - 2 plates with minimal old restored tear, only slightly browned.

Lange Zeit hatten Bibliographen fälschlicherweise die Bücher von Escalante (1577) und Mendoza (1585) über China oder den Atlas von Ortelius (1584) als die ersten Publikationen mit chinesischen und japanischen Schriftzeichen bezeichnet. Dieses seltene und wichtige Werk wurde ursprünglich in portugiesischer Sprache als eine Sammlung von Briefen veröffentlicht, die von Missionaren der Gesellschaft Jesu aus Japan zwischen 1549 und 1571 geschrieben wurden, gedruckt von Antonio de Marijs in Coimbra im Jahr 1570. Modernes Exlibris: Carl Volk. - Sehr seltenes Werk über den Kupferschiefer im deutschen Oberharz. Ein Begleitband zu dem 1762 erschienenen Werk des Autors "Die Naturgeschichte und Bergwerksverfassung des Oberharzes". Auch dieses Werk beschreibt die Bodenschätze des Harzes in ähnlicher Weise wie das frühere. Zückert war ein deutscher Arzt und Autor vieler Bücher über Medizin, Balneologie und Geologie. Seit 1765 war er Mitglied der Leopoldinischen Akademie. Laut Besitzerstempel gehörte dieses Exemplar einst einem Mitglied der berühmten Familie Veltheim, das sich für Mineralogie interessierte. So z.B. Franz Wilhelm Werner von Veltheim (1785-1839), ein Bergbauexperte und Leiter der Bergbauanstalt in Berlin oder August Ferdinand Graf von Veltheim (1741-1801), der 1790 von Kaiserin Katharina von Russland zum Generalinspektor der Bergwerke und Salinen in den westlichen Gebieten des russischen Reiches ernannt wurde. A companion volume to the author's Die Naturgeschichte und Bergwerksverfassung des Oberharzes published in 1762. This work also describes the mineral resources of the Harz mountains of Germany in much the same manner as the earlier work. Johann Friedrich Zückert (1737-1778) was a german physician and the author of many books on medicine, balneology, and geology. Since 1765 he was a member of the Leopoldian Academy. This work once belonged to a member of the famous Veltheim family, whose member had been interested in mineralogy. Like Franz Wilhelm Werner von Veltheim (1785-1839), a mining expert and after Gerhard's death head of the mining establishment in Berlin. And August Ferdinand Graf von Veltheim (1741-1801), who was in 1790 appointed by Empress Catherine of Russia as general inspector of mines and saltworks in the western regions of the Russian empire.

Sehr seltene Erstausgabe mit dem korrekten Datum 1618 (Graffenrieds Biograph Egger stellte bereits 1896 fest: "wohl nur selten mehr zu finden"). Er studierte Arithmetik und Astronomie im Selbststudium; seine Arithmeticae Logisticae, "zu Unrecht ignoriert" (Schärlig), ist vollständiger und reicher - nicht zuletzt wegen seiner unzähligen Beispiele - als viele der von ihm zitierten Quellen. J. H. Graf stellt in seiner Studie über Graffenried fest, dass es sich um das führende Werk zur Mathematik in Süddeutschland des frühen 17. Jahrhunderts handelt. "Und viele seiner Regeln sind auch eine Orginalität. Man darf also der Meinung sein, er sei mit Unrecht quasi unbekannt. Er hat (fast) alle damals vorhandene Bücher fleißig studiert. Und auch wenn er sich mehr oder weniger als Komilator vorstellt, muß man feststellen, daß er dennoch ein sehr vollständiges und bemerkenswertes Werk hinter sich gelassen hat. J. H. Graf, in his study of Graffenried, states that it is the leading work on mathematics in southern Germany in the early 17th century. "And many of his rules are also orginal.
