HMS HOOD SIGNED COVER-Commemorative envelope produced by ourselves, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the launching of HMS Hood, with matching 85th anniversary BFPO 2752 postmark dated 23 August 2003 with the ships crest inset and used by kind permission of the current Lord Hood, the stamp affixed is a 1st Class stamp. This has been signed by Ted Briggs, who at the time of signing was the last living survivor of the sinking of Hood. Good condition

French 1831 Gladius Short Sword complete with its original issue scabbard. Brass one piece handle. Scabbard mounts are in brass, seem to the reverse is split due to age shrinkage of the leather. Paris makers stamp to the base of the blade. Small tip of the blade absent. Some surface staining but generally good condition.
British Airborne 1959 Pattern Denison Smock accompanied by a 1954 dated maroon airborne forces beret. The smock is complete with its full length zip. Brass fronted popper studs to the pockets and front. Complete with the crutch tail. Some wear and fading to the outside of the smock and a small hole to the centre. To the arm is evidence of a jump wing once being present. Cuffs remain in good condition. Interior has a worn size label. The beret is made by British Fez Co Limited and has broad arrow stamp and clear date stamp. Leather trim to the edge. Marks where cap badge was once fitted. Good worn example set.
Selection of Silverware Removed From Hermann Goering House at Berchtesgaden, The silverware consists of Coffee pot marked to base with 800 silver mark and JCK makers stamp, milk jug with 800 silver mark and JCK makers stamp, 800 silver JCK maker marked jug, 800 silver marked sugar bowl and a 800 silver marked tea pot with bone top (missing handle). Items remain in generally good condition. (5 items) **Items are accompanied by photocopied paperwork detailing that they were all liberated from Hermann Goering’s house at Berchtesgaden among other items, not in the grouping, by Bruno Muzard, who served with 3 Regiment de Marche du Tchad, French Army. ** At the end of the war, the allies were in a race to reach the town of Berchtesgaden first. The US 101st Airborne and French forces were the first to reach the town. Many houses of Nazi officials were in the area, as a result many soldiers liberated personal items belonging to the Nazi officials including Hermann Goering and Adolf Hitler, this has been featured in many documentaries and films including the HBO series Band of Brothers.
Third Reich NSDAP Triangular Flag with printed central swastika. Some wear and staining to the flag. Remains of an inked stamp to the centre section. Accompanied by a Deutschland Erwacht card book with damaged paper cover, Kriegsmarine marked set square and Kriegsmarine führungsbuch with uniform photograph to the inside. (4 items)
Scarce Victorian Enfield Skeleton Action Martini Henry which was used as a teaching aid for gun smiths. The gun is complete with the original stock which is nicely stamped with Enfield acceptance and war department stamp. Shortened barrel has various markings. Generally in good overall condition.
Deactivated 1896 Long Lee Enfield Rifle with Victorian crown acceptance stamp and BSA & M Co markings. Complete with the bolt action. Cocks and dry fires. Comes with magazine. Some wear to the woodwork but generally good overall condition. Complete with UK government deactivication certificate.
A rare and good collection of 14 black and white photographs depicting the opening of the Queensway Tunnel Liverpool on the 18th July 1934, all by Stewart Bale bearing his stamp to the reverse, the photographs depict King George V and Queen Mary together with various dignitaries and huge crowds, each image 29 x 23cm (14).
