ROLEX, an early 20th century silver trench watch, the circular two piece hinged case signed ‘ROLEX’ with Wilsdorf and Davis stamp, import mark London 1915, the black dial with white Arabic numerals, luminous hands, and subsidiary seconds dial, the 7 jewel movement signed on the ratchet wheel (movement functioning), with wire lugs (one damaged), no strap Movement: functioning at time of cataloguing. Balance beating nicely. Low grade 7 jewel Rebberg movement. Case: inner case clearly marked. Wilsdorf and Davis mark a little rubbed. Of good gauge, with minor pinhead dents. Scuffs and scratches to case back. Three areas of yellow alloy repair to the join between glass and bezel. One end of wire lug broken off. Dial: minor nick to edge of enamel between 11-12. Some rust forming on the minute hands.

An Hermès red Fjord leather Kelly bag, 2004, blind stamp H, with silvered metal hardware, padlock, fob with keys, and detachable shoulder strap, in orange Hermes box, 35.5cm, 14in long CONDITION REPORT: Good condition, exterior and interior are very fresh. Biro mark to inside flap. Lower corners with very, very minimal rubbing at the tips. Looks little used. Box is slightly too small for the bag (34.5cm).

A fine embroidered black wool gentleman's court tailcoat, French, 1800 - 1820, the back with curved side and straight centre seam, high stand collar the front cut away short and high with angular rear tails, embroidered to shape in neo-classical style with silver purl thread and sequins, the tails with faux pocket flap motifs, half lined in ivory silk, with silvered fleur de lys and crown buttons, chest approx 92cm, 36in CONDITION REPORT: Costumier's stamp to lining 'Elde Rue Bonaparte'. Metal threads have tarnished - embroidery is superb. Wear to lining at edge where it meets the collar. Slight wear to lining at armhole and centre back waist. Scattering of mainly small moth holes. Generally overall appearance is impressive and good.

Rubbing to leather at corners and sides, hardware would benefit from polishing. Crazing to handle and front flap. Handle has partial spilt at hinge on one side. Interior is crazed with surface scratches.

An 1853 pattern cavalry trooper’s sword, slightly curved, fullered blade 33½” (the tip rounded) with inspector’s stamp and Indian army broad arrow with I on backstrap, steel hilt with broad knucklebow, sideloop and 2 sidebars, chequered composition grips, various stamps on back of guard incorporating V,Y, AA, 8/98 etc, in later pattern steel scabbard with opposing rings, hilt and scabbard with contemporary black painted finish overall, GC (minor wear to blade with dark rust patina, blade does not fully enter scabbard).

A Prussian Uhlan enlisted man’s “ersatz” Lance Cap (Tschapka), of all steel construction, with a grey steel plate, state rosette, black and white felt cockade, leather chinstrap and thin leather liner, the inside of the skull with 1917 date stamp, and with green/blue (turquoise) cap lines, the inside of the peak with partly legible label stating that it was taken from “Fritz” by a member of the “7th Welsh”.
