A gilt metal simulated pearl and paste tiara, late 19th century, the yellow foliate engraved band with scrolled surmounts decorated with closed set rectangular shaped white paste with a row of simulated pearls and a single simulated pearl termination, with detachable frame with screw fitting, total width 13.5cm (a.f.)Condition report: The tiara is in poor to fair condition with white paste stones and simulated pearls lacking in places. The hinge fittings are loose to a couple of sections. It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gilt metal. Gross weight 39.4 grams. CR made 28.10.21.
