* ANNE ESTELLE RICE (AMERICAN 1879 - 1959) THE PORT pencil and watercolour, 24cm x 31cm Mounted, framed and under glass label verso: Fosse Gallery, John Lindsey Fine Art Ltd; Studio stamp 'AER' Note: Exhibition at the Fosse Gallery, Stow-on-the-Wold, 8th to 20th December 1986; signed verso by the artists son David Drey. Stamp AR verso together with a signature by David Drey, the artist's son. The stamp was created by David Drey for an exhibition of his mother's paintings at the Fosse Gallery in Stow on the Wold. Anne Estelle had a habit of not signing her paintings and drawings, which is why David decided to avoid any queries about authenticity.

The completed bronze was presented to the Musee de L'Annonciade at Saint Tropez.
