Two Royal Doulton flambé figures one figure of Awakening with `Property of Royal Doulton not for resale` back stamp, the second modelled as a strolling couple in a modernistic style, printed marks to bases, (2) the figure group measures 32cm high. Condition report: No damage or restoration, minor glaze scratches.
A Victorian relief cast iron door porter in the form of a seated greyhound, late 19th century, portrayed with collar and chain, on a waisted and fluted base, the reverse with lozenge registration stamp and inscribed for E & T SMITH, SHEFFIELD, 45cm high. *A mahogany library/ hunt table, stamped Gillows, the hinged top opening to a tooled red leather inset, on a base inscribed to base ‘Made by Thomas Stansmore for W.Royce cabinet maker 11 High Street, Stamford, March 4th 1892 for Stamford and Spalding Bank, and ‘GILLOWS R715’, on heavily carved tapering reeded legs, 81cm high, 106.5cm deep, approximately 243cm wide. The numbers adjacent to the Gillows stamp do not appear to correspond with any related designs for Hunt tables by Gillows, therefore it is likely that these numbers relate to a previous owner’s inventory. The Stamford, Spalding and Boston Banking Company Limited was in operation from 1831 - 1911.
A Paris porcelain cabinet cup and saucer, 19th Century, each painted with a continuous figural landscape between gilt banding, the cup with high scroll gilt handle, unmarked, together with a green ground Paris porcelain trio decorated with portraits of a lady and gentleman, red printed crowned `N` marks to bases, a floral decorated plate and a Limoges stamp box.
EMMA BRIDGEWATER An Emma Bridgewater 6 pint jug sponged with a pattern simply called ‘Blue Spongeware’, the design influenced by eastern European art and craft. This design was sold exclusively in Bridgewater shops. Back stamp for 1997 and initialled VS by decorator Vicky Stubbs. First quality, in new condition. 20cm high.
