Extra images have been added of the barrel removed from the stock, and showing the Enfield mark under the barrel. There is another repair to the stock on the reverse side of the lock where the side nails hold the lock in place. The stock has been sanded and a new varnish applied which obscures any acceptance marks there may have been and leaves only a very faint trace of marks to near the side nails on the reverse of the lock. Something has reacted with the new varnish in small areas and there are matt marks which have been left behind.
