dating: late 18th Century provenance: Spain, Smooth, two-stage, 16 mm cal. barrels, octagonal in the first part bearing three floral decorations and three gilded lilies, on gold-inlaid cross and gunsmith crowned stamp 'GRE / DAR / GUI / ANO', gold-inlaid as well, frame with lilies at the base. Girdle with floral frame with traces of gilding and some moulding. Second part of the barrel is round, with thick moulding at the nozzle. Tangs engraved with leaves, gilded vents. Nice, flintlocks with flat lock plate bearing crowned brand 'AR / GUI / ANO', floral and frame engravings. Cock's base chiselled with leaves, twisted throw, pan with leaves en suite, batterie base with a shell, in the bottom part of the external spring a spiral decoration. Wooden, full stocks (one restored at the grip's base) chiselled with flowers at the barrel's tang. Iron mounts, thick counter-plates engraved with leaves and traces of gilding, trigger guards with a bust on the remains of gilded background. Butt-plates with a bust surrounded by frames with engraved and chiselled leaves, and with traces of gilding. Wooden ramrods. length 38,5 cm.

An Early 20th Century Fan, produced with a programme for a Comedy, ''Le Prince Consort'', performed at La Tournée Brasseur. The central cartouche, designed as open theatre curtains, gives a list of the cast, the reserves depict dignitaries of the period. The original play opened on Broadway in March 1905. Amusing advertising for a baby food ''Phosphatine Falières, created in the 19th century by a chemist, Emile Falières, is printed on the verso. Guard length: 10.75 inches or 27.5cm; and Mr De La Palisse, A Play: A 1905 Advertising Fan, on wooden sticks for the Tournée Brasseur, the double paper leaf printed on the recto with the programme for the theatre production, the verso with amusing advertising for Phosphatine Falières baby food. Printed by J. Ganne Paris. Guard length 11 inches or 28cm (2)Fan 1 - Slight residue from a sticky label on one guard. The leaf is mildly crumpled and has the odd tear to a fold. Fan 2 - Fair. The upper guard has residue from sticky labels and a red printed stamp near the tip. The leaf is thin on the folds and split in places, with nicks to the top of several folds.
