1858 Sepember 26 cover to England, 24c rate paid by horizontal pair 1857-61 12c grey-black, plate I (SG 40), tied by blue cds for Sep 26, with fine 'AMERICA/LIVERPOOL/PAID' cds for Oc 17 58 in red to left and bold '19' rate hand-stamp, also in red, reverse bears Boston transit cds for 6 Oct, left hand adhesive straight edge at left (design cut-into) and cover creasing at left
1935 (21 Dec) cover to England, franked on reverse by 1935 Christmas 3m on 1p carmine (SG A11), tied by 'retta' cancel in black, cover with tone spotting and creasing but this not affecting adhesive, this does have a tiny corner crease which appears to have occurred before the stamp was affixed to the envelope, face bears red 'crown' EGYPT/POSTAGE PREPAID/19 and Cairo cds for 21 DEC 35, clear RPS cert (2000)

1840 1d black Mulready envelope, stereo A133 (Forme 1), used to Mr William Scott of Boswells Green, Roxburghshire, used by neat red MC, reverse bears cds for My 8 1840, back flap with contemporary m/s annotation "10 May 1840/First Envelope of Stamp ever received, WS", some soiling and rather heavy horizontal filing crease but rare early usage
1967-71 Whiter 'woodfree' paper, set of 15 to $3 chestnut, new blue and purple (SG 295a/309a), 3c, 8c and 15c fine postally used, the remainder cancelled by favour with cds inscribed 'STAMPS 3 FREEPORT/GRAND BAHAMA' which is not contemporary with the issue, the 12c, $1, $2 and $3 are virtually unknown commercially used as most were purchased from post offices within a few days of issue by a well known U.K. stamp dealer, and retained in mint condition, the $2 and $3 both have BPA certs (2013)

Officials: 1866 (Oct) 4a purple "Foreign Bill" stamp, with upper and lower inscriptions removed, overprinted 'SERVICE POSTAGE' in green (SG O17), some trivial surface scuffing around Queen's head and light perf trimming at lower right but very lightly used, well above average for this rare stamp, clear BPA cert (1998), cat £3,250

1924-26 Watermark block cypher 1½d red-brown, tete-beche interpanneau block of 8 (4x2), lightly folded down 'gutters', lower strip a few perf separations between left interpane marginal stamp and gutter (with small hinge reinforcement), also a few short perfs, upper strip fine u/m, scarce, cat £1,250

Machins: Extensive and valuable collection of Machin head and other definitives from 1967 to around 2008, most basic stamps present for period with values to £10, also many cylinder and plate blocks and some 'barcode' stamp booklets, substantial postage content but some scarcer cylinder blocks present and would certainly repay viewing, almost all appears fine u/m (Few Thousands)
Extensive mostly modern QEII collection, a few earlier from used 1d black (spacefiller) with smattering of other reigns and earlier QEII, more comprehensive from 1970 to 2012 in printed albums with most spaces filled, these virtually all u/m, also prestige stamp booklets 1997 to 2006, a good range of fdcs from 1980s to 2006, PNC covers 1995 to 2006 and some loose general odds, earlier issues mixed condition but all fine from 1970s onwards
