1912 (Jan/Aug) 1d bright scarlet variety without watermark (Spec N12a), gum creasing but very scarce, u/m, with 1984 RPS cert for a strip of 3 from which this was taken, this states the strip had imperial crown watermark, but since being split this is no longer provable and the stamp is therefore offered as a variety of the simple cypher issue, cat £1,200
1940-68 St Patrick 5s maroon, top left corner marginal variety watermark inverted (SG 124bw), fine u/m also 5s maroon right hand marginal horizontal pair on chalk-surface paper, the left stamp variety 'Line flaw' (SG 124cb), with printers guide in margin, fine large part o.g. RPS certs (1999 and 2003 respectively)
1857-61 1d blue, 3d rose and 6d green (SG 1, 4, 5), each used by light 'crown' cds, first four clear margins and above average embossing, although with tiny (natural?) 'pinhole', second a large stamp on small piece with reasonable embossing, last also on piece but this gum stains and cut-into, first with 1983 Behr and 2001 Brandon certs (both clear), others with RPS certs for 2000 and 2005 respectively, cat £2,700
1973-74 Marine Life 1c lower left corner horizontal pair, the right stamp error black (inscription and face value) omitted and also partial omission on the left stamp (SG 545a), light overall toning, otherwise u/m and a scarce positional piece with only about 60 of the variety stamp known, RPS cert (2010)
