Original vintage propaganda poster for the National Wildlife Restoration Week held between March 20 and March 26, 1938 titled 'Where to now?' and sponsored by General Wild Life Federation. Poster is showing a goose flying into the sunset over a desertic scene. Designed by "Best Wildlife Week Poster" winner Ralph C. Barker Jr., the imagery from this original travel poster also became a United States Postal Service stamp. Fair condition, folds, creases, small tears on fold lines and margins, reinforced with water soluble brown tape on reverse. Original vintage movie poster for the American car racing film Winning "Winning... is everything!" directed by James Goldstone and starring Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward and Robert Wagner about a racing car driver who dreams of winning the Indianapolis 500. Great image featuring Paul Newman about to kiss Joanne Woodward with Robert Wagner smoking a cigarette in the background, a stylised illustration depicting sports cars racing around a circuit next to the title text. Artwork by Howard Terpning (b 1927). Following this movie, Paul Newman began his own car racing career, coming 2nd place in the 1979 24-hour Le Mans. Original vintage Polish Advertising for the IV Warsaw Theatre Meetings, 1968 by renowned Polish graphic artist Waldemar Swierzy. Waldemar ?wierzy (c. 1931 – 27 November 2013) was a Polish artist. Born in Katowice, Poland, he graduated from the Kraków Academy of Fine Arts in 1952. He was subsequently Professor in the University of Fine Arts in Pozna? from 1965 and Professor in the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1994. In 1992 the government of Poland issued a postage stamp to honor one of his Cyrk posters, 'Clown with derby' in 1992. Swierzy is one of the Polish School of Posters' most prolific artists, having created over 2500 posters. He employed unusual concepts with a variety of techniques, frequently mirroring Polish social history from 1950s through 1980s, with a myriad of styles: folk art from the 50s, pop art from the 60s, portraits from the 70s, and TV images from the 80s. In addition, his Jazz Greats series of famous American jazz personalities became so well known that he reissued them in his later years as signed lithographs. The series includes: Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix, Charles Mingus and Charlie Parker, among others. The lithographs were editioned by S2Art. The first group, which came out in March 2003, were of Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Thelonious Monk, Benny Goodman, Miles Davis, and Dizzy Gillespie. King Oliver and Lester Young followed a few years later. Poor condition, waving, staining, tears and creases in margins, backed on cardboard. Ferdinand Adolf Heinrich August Graf von Zeppelin (8 July 1838 – 8 March 1917) was a German general and later inventor of the Zeppelin rigid airships; he founded the company Luftschiffbau Zeppelin. Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH is a German company which, during the early 20th century, was a leader in the design and manufacture of rigid airships. Luftschiffbau Zeppelin manufactured many Zeppelin airships for both civilian and military use over the next few decades. However, with the rise of the Nazis in 1933, focus shifted to 'heavier than air' aircraft, due to their military superiority (though Zeppelins were used in a number of major propaganda campaigns to great effect). By the beginning of World War II demand for airships had disappeared. The last active vessel (LZ 130) was decommissioned early in the war and broken up for its aluminium. Original vintage sport travel poster published by the British Transport Commission to advertise its transport fares and the Limited Cafeteria Excursion for the Division II football game on 7 December, 1963, between Swansea Town and Swindon Town with an artwork by Pat Keely. Patrick (Patou) Cokayne Keely (died 1970) was a British graphic artist known for his Second World War posters for the Ministry of Information along with stylised commercial posters for publishers, the GPO and public transport. Keely also designed the British 4d World Scout Jubilee Jamboree stamp of 1957 and the 1s3d stamp from the 1958 Sixth British Empire and Commonwealth Games Cardiff set. Swansea City Association Football Club is a Welsh professional football club based in Swansea, Wales that plays in the Championship, the second tier of English football. The club was founded in 1912 as Swansea Town and joined the Football League in 1921.
