IN THE MANNER OF FREDERICK FRITH (1819-1871) "Portly gentleman in top hat, holding wine glass", unsigned, cut out silhouette, bronzed, with artist's blind studio stamp to the lower corner, 23 cm x 14.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Yellowing to the paper, dirt and marks. Various scuffs to the picture. Some small areas of damage to the sihouette, including small area of damage to the tip of the brim of the hat which appears to have been reglued and there is discolouration to the glue around the rim, and tip is torn and with small section missing. Bears a partial impressed stamp to bottom left corner of the paper. Some slightly larger scuffs and scratches to his hat. Appears to be a small tear to his shoe. Frame has various scuffs and scratches, separating at joins, some splits and various holes and nicks to the top of the frame.
A rare Compton Pottery figure group of St. Christopher with child and staff, on a plinth base, bearing studio stamp, 21.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS A chip to one sleeve, plus some some frits. Large chip to corner of base and some smaller chips and frits. Wear to base. Quite a lot of wear, dirt and discolouration overall. Crack to the chin / neck of the child, although this may be a firing or potting fault. Various scuffs and wear to the painted decoration, with much of the painted decoration flaked away.
A Victorian papier-mache tray of rectangular form, the centre field decorated with fox hunting scene within a bamboo decorated border, by Dyson & Benson of London, bears crowned stamp verso, 77 cm x 58 cm CONDITION REPORTS Overall wear and scuffs, some warping, some damage and repairs, including to rim, where there has been some fillering and overpainting. Various splits and cracks, and some chips and losses to rim. Quite a lot of wear to the gilding. Some pitting and deterioration to the surface, various cracquelure. Base appears to be a separate board attached to the rim. Some small splits and some cup marks. Also has some bracket the sides to reverse, possibly repairs or for strengthening.

Has a chalky type paint / wash to parts of the figure and sundial. Weathering and pitting and some chips, including large shallow chip to one shoulder/arm, a small chip to the other. Large chip to base and various smaller chips throughout.

Remnants of an ochre red colour. Various chips, including chips around base and corners and some larger chips to back and side of the rectangular base. Large chip / tip of one ear missing.
French 18ct white gold and diamond tennis bracelet of alternate circular and ogee links, length 19cm, gross weight 10g Condition report: eagle's head stamp on clasp tongue and maker's mark CF on reverse; rhodium plating good, finish bright and reflective; the diamonds ≈2.5mm x 24 plus 6 x 1.5mm on the clasp, brilliant cut, SI - I, colour H-K. Overall the bracelet is in good condition and appears bright and lively.

German Third Reich SS 1933 model dagger by Gottlieb Hammesfahr of Solingen. A good example, the blade etched “Meine Ehre heist Treue” (My Honour is Loyalty), the reverse with maker’s pyramid logo. Black wooden grip inlaid with silvered eagle and enamelled circular SS device; the nickel crossguard impressed with district stamp III. Housed in original black anodised nickel mounted scabbard with single loose suspension ring. Minor service wear, small dent to scabbard otherwise VGC
Life Guards Officer’s Scarlet Uniform. An early Elizabeth II period example. Scarlet melton cloth, with dark blue velvet facings to the gauntlet cuffs and collar, each is with gold bullion embroidery of acorn and oak leaf devices. The interior with quilted lining and retaining tailor’s label of “John’s & Pegg Ltd.” Also ink name of “Lt. C.S. Horsfall”. The tunic now only retains six post 1953 buttons, Shoulder cords and aiguillettes are not present. Bullion dulled and WD cancelation stamp to each breast.
German Third Reich Police Bayonet by Alexender Coppell, Solingen. A good 33 cm blade example with eagle’s head pommel, eye for show only. Two piece simulated stags horn grip bearing silvered police device. The cross guard bears oak leaf decoration. The plated blade bears maker’s details on one side, maker’s scales logo on the other; matching S.Ar.I.604 stamp to back of the grip backstrap as well as scabbard top mount. Housed in black leather scabbard with plated mounts and complete with black leather frog. No movement to blade. Minor service wear, overall VGC.

Parachute Regiment Attributed Commanding Officer’s Red Beret. Worn by Lieutenant Colonel Peter Mandeville Aldersley Taylor MC & Bar, who commanded the 5th & 2nd Battalion Parachute Regiment in the early post war years. Comprising: Red Beret complete with cap badge, the interior with stamp Kangol Wear Limited 1946. Very Clean. Contained in a Bates service dress cap box addressed to “Lt Col P.M.A. Taylor MC HQ 2 Inf Div Coln RASC BAOR 34”. (2 items) Lieutenant Colonel Peter Mandeville Aldersley Taylor MC & Bar originally served in the ranks before being commissioned into the Queen’s Regiment. He was awarded the MC & Bar with 2/6th Bn and at the end of the war gained a permanent commission. In 1946 he became second-in-command of the 8/9th Parachute Battalion and saw service in Haifa with 6th Airborne Division. He commanded the 5th (Scottish) Parachute Battalion and later the 2nd Parachute Battalion in Germany. After breaking his leg while captaining the Para rugby team, he was medically downgraded. He transferred to the RASC and commanded a number of Royal Army Service Corps Units, one of these commands took him to Egypt during the Canal Zone crises.
Victorian Royal Dragoon Officer’s Mess China Dish by Copeland Spade China. A good example of a white china kidney shaped dish, decorated with the crest of the Royal Dragoons. The underside with the makers stamp of Copeland Spade England and the retailer’s details of “T. Goodie & Co. Ltd”. Minor wear, colours to transfer remain bright.
WW1 Canadian 7th Infantry Battalion 1st Canadian Division Brodie Steel Helmet. A very good example of the B pattern helmet, the shell with original sand painted green finish, emblazoned to the front with the red device of the 1st Canadian Division, this overlaid with a metal number “7”, indicating the 7th Infantry Battalion. The interior is complete with oilcloth and felt lining and leather chinstrap. The helmet is British made and bears the stamp to the shell of “FS”, indicating made by T. Frith & Sons Limited of Sheffield. The leather interior strap has the ink name of Dance. Overall GC clean condition.
