Registration No: RO09 XAS Chassis No: ZAR93900005028097 MOT: December 2024Only c.85,000 miles from newJust three former keepers and current ownership from 2019Desirable 3.2 Litre V6 JTS engine with 6-speed manual gearbox plus four-wheel driveExtensive service history with 10 stamps from specialists and invoices to show large expenditure with the most recent bill for £4899.73 in December 2022The Type 939 Spider is widely regarded as the 6th generation of Alfa Romeo Spiders, the first version of which was released in 1966. The New Spider version was launched at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, where it also received the "Cabrio of the Year" award and production ran until November 2010. Based on the Brera Coupe, it seats two passengers rather than four passengers as in the Coupe. Originally Alfa Romeo offered two engines: the 2.2 L straight-4 and the range topping 3.2 L V6 JTS — The legendary ‘Busso’ V6 was retired at the end of GTV production so a new GM engine – with Alfa cylinder heads and induction – filled in. Like the old Busso V6 it displaced 3.2-litres, though power was now sent through four driven wheels (rare in the Busso era) making the new Spider more of a grippy and torquey tourer.First registered on 1st May 2009 in the United Kingdom, RO09 XAS is the desirable, range-topping 3.2 V6 Q4 model with six-speed manual transmission. Finished in the unusual yet attractive colour combination of Metallic Blue over a Black Leather interior, this vehicle has been cherished by four keepers including the vendor who has owned the car since 2019. The history file is complete with the original handbooks and service booklet which shows ten stamps, the majority of which are from Bournemouth-based Alfa Romeo specialists Autolusso. There is also a huge stack of invoices on file which both backs up the stamp booklet and complements it, with the most recent invoice from Autolusso for £4899.73 in December 2022 for a considerable amount of work which included a new clutch, dual mass flywheel, rear brake callipers and overhaul of the subframe. Now presented for sale due to the vendor looking to move onto something a little more sedate, the car is presented in what the vendor describes as 'good' overall cosmetic condition with a number of scratches in the paintwork as to be expected from a working car, but in 'excellent' mechanical condition. Lot 75

Registration No: EN05 FMA Chassis No: ZAR91600007015477 MOT: September 2024Desirable face-lifted 'Phase 3' Type 916 Spider with 2.0 Litre JTS enginePresented in the attractive colour scheme of Metallic Moon Blue with Black Leather Sports interiorDisplaying 63,573 miles from newWell-maintained with a full stamped book and back-up invoices supplied with £1,012 spent in April 2024Beginning development for its interior styling as far back as 1988, the Type-916 Alfa Romeo was officially launched as the Spyder and GTV at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show which were available with either 2.0 Litre Twin-Spark Inline Four or 3.0 Litre V6 engines. The GTV's name placed it as the successor to the long-discontinued Alfetta GTV Coupé, whereas the Spider was effectively the replacement for the then 30-year-old 105-series Giulia Spider. The design was facelifted in 1998 - although this was mainly to do with interior trim but then a second facelift occurred in 2003. This was a little more dramatic and Pininfarina redesigned front end, with an elongated grille and different front bumpers with an off-set registration number. Production of the GTV continued until 2005 with the launch of the Brera and the Spyder continued production until it was replaced by its Brera-based successor in 2006.First registered on 29th June 2005, this attractive Phase 3 Spyder was supplied new to the UK as a 2.0 Litre JTS engined car with Lusso trim by Alfa Romeo of Chelmsford and the PDI was completed on 6th July 2005. It is understood that the vehicle has had six previous owners until our vendor acquired the car in 2017. The history file includes the original stamp book which is complete with 15 stamps, the latest being by Bournemouth-based Alfa Romeo specialist Autolusso in September 2019, however, there is a large stack of invoices to back up work since 2016 with the most recent expenditure being for a new alternator, brake service and more totalling £1,012 in April 2024 and two spare key sets are provided. The vendor is now selling the car to buy something a little more sedate, but describes the car as being in 'very good' mechanical condition thanks to extensive maintenance, although cosmetically it would benefit from some attention due to some scratching and areas of lacquer peel to be expected of a working car, but is on the whole still very useable.
