General - World : Pair of matching green SG IDEAL bound interleaved albums for ‘Foreign Countries’ (No British Empire) Volume I spanning 1850 to 1914 plus Volume II from 1915 to 1930… both in usable though a little tired condition as presumably these albums are at least 80 years old, and remarkably well filled they are. Literally 1,000s of ‘classic period’ stamps spanning 80 years from the late 1840s/early 1850s through 1930 – literally a ‘Passage of Time’, as just like the Internet 150 years later, communication grasps the new postage stamp facilitator as, more and more service providers (Countries in this case) come on board. Literally, a 4 inch-deep pile with each album 2 inches thick – with 1,000s of, in places equally mint as well as used ranges – a joy to behold. Generally,in average to fine condition, some of the mint ranges adhere to the leaves whilst others are hinged as freshly as the day they were mounted, but some material is below par. This appears to be an original, untouched, unpicked pair of albums. Bearing in mind the quantities of stamps the collection comprises it is obvious that the value is formed by ‘critical mass’ rather than by ‘death and glory’ stamps of high individual value. Nevertheless there are obviously better, more valuable stamps included, but not always in high quality. This original collection is going to give one Collector a great deal of winter enjoyment. In order to fully appreciate it our Team will be producing a photographic record of the collection so that you may download and inspect the collection on line for yourself in your own time. The TWO VOLUME Green SG IDEAL Collection, literally 1,000s – please request download. HEAVY LOT - OVERSEAS BIDDERS PLEASE ENQUIRE FOR SHIPPING COSTS
