A George III silver shaped circular salver, mark of James Stamp overstriking that of another, London 1779, the flat chased border of shells, C-scrolls, flowers and panels of scale work on a matted ground, with a raised beaded rim, on three ball-and-claw feet, engraved with an armorial, 31cm (12in) diameter, 886g (28.5 oz). The arms of Captain Francis SERGISON (1730-1793) of Cuckfield Park, near Haywards Heath, Sussex.
A French late 18th century walnut and marquetry serpentine commode, the red variegated marble top, above Rococo c-scrolled and foliate gilt metal mounts, with floral marquetry drawer and sunburst marquetry panels, above a shaped apron raised on cabriole legs terminating in split hoof sabots, 81 cm high x 106 cm wide x 53 cm deep. The commode bearing the stamp JNE MOCSBE, Maîtes Ebónifte.
