Sawyer - four fractional currency notes, 100 x 53 mm, Alton Oct. 18th 1862, for 25 cents, numbered 1, 5, 9 and 190, each signed verso Daniel Sawyer with redemption stamp, together with four Alton N. H. Nov. 26th 1862, 5 cents, number 1, 10 cents, number 1, 25 cents, number 2 and 50 cents, number 1, together with two Alton N.H. June 23rd 1864, two cents, number 46 and three cents, number 93 (10). Fractional currency was introduced by the Government on the 21st August 1862 due to people hoarding gold and silver coins during the Civil War. In local areas banks, merchants, and railway companies introduced their own. It was withdrawn on the 15th February 1876. Jeremiah Jones was in partnership with A. H. Sawyer as merchants in the family firm set up by Daniel, Jeremiah and Alfonzo being cousins.

German Third Reich Police Bayonet by Alexander Coppell, Solingen. A good 33 cm blade example with eagle's head pommel, with eye locking nut. Two piece simulated stags horn grip bearing silvered police device. The upswept crossguard bears oak leaf decoration. The plated blade bears maker's details on one side, maker's scales logo on the other. 'S.Ar.II.444' stamp to back of the crossguard. Housed in brown leather scabbard with plated mounts. No movement to blade. Minor service wear, overall VGC.

German WW1 1918 Imperial German Air Service Issue Flying Helmet. a good rare example, of the issue pattern worn by pilots and observers of the Imperial German Air Service during the Great War. Black leather skull with protective comb running from front to back across the crown, with similar band around the edge. Complete with fold down neck flap (dated 1918) with integral earpieces and chin strap. Liner present but fragile to parts, wear to the rear flap, this with faint 1918 issue stamp

Early WW2 RAF Aircrew Wrist/ Pocket Stop Watch white metal cased pocket watch officially converted to a wristwatch. Top winder and operating button. White face with 60 seconds edge timing with separate minute dial. The rear of the case with broad arrow stamp and issue number 6B/117 crossed out and numbered 288. Complete with correct period leather wrist strap. Hands with some damage and partly working. Together with a brass propelling pencil. 2 itemsSold as historical item.  Working not confirmed.  The issue number 6B/117 checks as 1940 so presumably renumbered later when converted to a wristwatch.
