George Moore (1863-1914) A Watercolour Drawing. A monochrome vertical format drawing for use with Cycling magazine circa 1894, signed by the artist in the bottom left-hand corner, depicting two male cyclists on a tandem bicycle being hotly pursued by another man riding a tricycle. Painted on card, a note in red ink on the reverse reads 'Cycling Friday' together with a small ink stamp stating 'Cycling No. 187', indicating that the drawing was intended for publication in this weekly illustrated magazine. Mounted, framed and glazed. Image size 22.5 x 17.5cm. Good condition, with just a slight suggestion of pale browning along the inside edges of the mount.
5Cycling, 1905, 1911, 1912, 1915 & 1916. The first two quarto hardbound volumes in dark green cloth with gilt lettering to the spines, which are worn and loose, appear to hold the complete 1905 issues from Vol. XXIX, No. 729, Jan 4, to Vol. XXX, No. 780, Dec 27; next is a very thick worn volume in the publisher's 'Cycling' binding, with issues from Vol. XLI, No. 1042, Jan 4, 1911, to No. 1066, June 28, 1911; then another volume in dark green cloth with issues from Vol. XLIII, No. 1094, Jan 3, 1912, to Vol. XLIV, No. 1145, Dec 26, 1912. The last three items are sprung-bound stamp albums holding uncollated issues (ex-library copies) from August to Dec 1915; Jan to June 1916, and July to Dec 1916. Apart from page-browning through age, the issues, all profusely illustrated, are bound with their covers and appear to be clean and sound. (7)

All signed and dating from 1953, highly detailed Park Ward style cards, namely Silver Wraith Saloon, DHC and Limousine, Coupé and Foursome on a Bentley chassis. Each with a Park Ward rubber stamp to the front, each with a drawing number and description. 14 x 7-inches (33 x 18cm). (5)
Mid-1920s Morris Motors Ltd., Photographs. A loose-leaf album holding twenty-four large, 24 x 29.5cm, horizontal format monochrome promotional photographs depicting various stages in the production of Morris Bullnose cars at the Morris Motor Body Works Oxford in the 1920s. Each photograph is held in a transparent polythene sleeve, has an ink stamp verso reading: Messrs. Brunell & Bowers, Artistic & Technical Photographers, Pictorial & Technical Publicity, 177, The Vale, Acton. All are well-defined and in good, clean condition. A rare and historic set.
c1935 AC Cars Ltd. A 16pp, large format catalogue with a single page at the rear discussing the success in the 1935 Monte Carlo. Describing, with specifications and with pastel sketches by Harold Connolly, the 16/60 Greyhound; 16/70 Ace DHC; 16/80 Ace Competition Sports, together with optional extras. In good condition, the centre pages pulled-away from the staples. Also, 'ACtion', a 1936 petit leaflet of 16pp, with descriptions and photographs of competition achievements in 1935 and 1936. A gentle vertical crease and a dealer stamp on both covers. (2)

A brochure discussing and illustrating the Type 34 and Type 45 models, enhanced with road-test reports by John Prioleau. 16pp and a blue card cover, with photographs of the 'Foursome Coupé', 'Pillarless-Saloon', 'Cabriolet-Saloon', 'Drop-head Cabriolet' and 'Four-Seater'. General specifications, technical details and descriptions. The editorial in good fettle, the blue cover with a dealer's rubber stamp and ghosting where a label has been removed. The staple spine intact.
A Motorcycle Trophy. A delightfully-crafted and well-detailed representation of a 1920s single-cylinder flat tank motorcycle, fashioned in silver, with an assay stamp of Birmingham dated 1929. Mounted on a black plinth, it incorporates an engraved assayed-silver plaque inscribed, 'Calder Valley M.C. - Dr Stephen Award - 1929. W. Naylor'. In need of cleaning, but charming. 4½-inches high
A .750 CALIBRE 39INCH PATTERN EAST INDIA COMPANY FLINTLOCK MUSKET, 39inch barrel stamped with an EIC Inspector's stamp at the bridge, border engraved lock stamped with the rampant lion emblem and dated 1813, complete with bayonet and sling, together with a worn Baker type cavalry carbine with no lock. A BRASS BARRELLED FLINTLOCK BLUNDERBUSS BY ROBERT SILK, 16inch three-stage barrel stamped with proof marks and the RS maker's stamp, border and scroll engraved bevelled lock, full stocked with brass mounts, brass faced wooden ramrod. The lock is later, probably 1730's. Some repairs and alterations to the stock.
