A Bavarian M.1871 Sword Bayonet with a 47cm pointed and partially fullerted blade, Bavarian Amberg factory stamp on one side and dated '82' #1882 to the back of the blade. In a brass mounted black leather Bavarian scabbard with horizontal suspension loop, the brass chape with Bavarian unit stamp 'B 3 R 6. 140' for the 3rd Bavarian Infantry Rgt 'Prinz Karl von Bayern. 64cm overall *Condition: Hilt slightly pitted, and rust to areas on handle, signs of age, otherwise a nice example.

A machine woven 'Deutsche Polizei' armband with black stitching on a yellow ground, stamped with a rubber stamp for the issuing unit above the 'z'. 10cm x 19.5cm. Armbands of this type were worn SS-Polizei units operating in Russia and the Balkans *Condition: Slightly grubby, a nice example.

An envelope posted from Auschwitz Concentration Camp in 1941, addressed to Frau Maria Sikon in Krakau, the senders details given as Simon (?) Sikon, born on the 28th October 1900, number 3300 with address including 'Block 2'. The left hand side of the envelope printed with instructions regarding postage, the last two being: 6. Requests for release from protective custody to the camp management are pointless 7. Permissions to speak and visit prisoners in the concentration camp are generally not permitted. The envelope 11.3 x 16cm. It is suggested that prisoners with a number in this range arrived at the camp on the 30th August 1940. With three further prisoner of war letters, one to a Mr and Mrs Green in Jersey from Leslie Green from Laufen camp, another to South Wales from a German prisoner of camp and a third 'Feldpostbief' letter with third reich stamp (4) *Condition: First with slight tears along top edge, hope above 'Frau' otherwise a good example. The others reasonable for age and material.

A pair of silver mounted Bishop England mugs, L Harrison, Sheffield 1930, the pierced scrolling foliate silver mount containing green and yellow inner liner with gilt rims, 10.5cm high, with a pair of silver coloured coffee can mounts with blue glass liners, stamped 800 (6) Condition report: Coffee cans and saucers: The blue glass liners with no major cracks or chips, there is wear present where the silver mounts have rubbed against. '800' stamp slightly worn. Possible solder repair mark to handle (see image)Residue polish seen to saucers. Scratches and wear seen throughout commensurate with age and use.Mugs:Glazing faults seen to ceramic mugs. Gilt highlights rubbed. Rubbing seen to colour decoration where silver mounts have rubbed against. Silver mounts show visible joins. Discolouration and tarnishing seen throughout. Minor scratches seen commensurate with age and use.
