The first- ‘Coast-To-Coast Trip’ with rectangular cachet with airship over landscape and ‘US Navy USS Akron Coast-To-Coast Trip Carrying Mail United States Post Office Department.’ On the reverse is an oval cachet ‘USS Akron Carrying Air Mail Left Lakehurst May 8 1932’ with a San Diego Post Office stamp dated May 11 1932. With 3 US stamps and an applied picture of the airship. The second is a pictorial cover featuring the USS Los Angeles over a seascape, incorporating a lighthouse, a cherub and the Statue of Liberty. Endorsed ‘Via Airship Los Angeles From Lakehurst NJ’ Addressed to a Mr. Joseph Wells Hotel Belmont Manor, Warwick, Bermuda. Postmarked April 15 1925 New York, with Bermuda postmark on the reverse. A large salad/fruit bowl. Made of a tinted green light alloy for use on the Zeppelins Graf Zeppelin and Hindenburg. 30cm diameter, 10cm deep, stamped ‘Zeppelin’ under airship to base. Complete with often missing serving spoon and fork. Together with a small covered butter dish of similar material and also marked with the Zeppelin stamp, with a blued and silver finish. Take off lid with turned wooden knob. 14cm diameter. Also a small open butter dish, 11.5cm. GC minor marking for age. See Plate 22 (3)

German Airship First Aid Box. Flat metal box (37cmx23cmx9cm) with wood lining, painted olive green with a Red Cross in a white circle on the top. Above the International Red Cross symbol are the words “Verbandkastenf. Luftschiffe”. On the right end is a metal carrying handle, and to the front is a ring-pin to fasten the case closed. Inside, a plain wooden lining, the lid has a waterproof seal, and on the inside lid is a contents list printed on cotton with several handwritten additions. The contents list has an additional stamp in purple ink reading “K.Bay.Haupt-Sanitats-Depot. 1916”. No contents. Generally good condition for age and usage. See website

A Cultured Pearl Necklace, sixty-one graduated cultured pearls knotted to an asymmetric cultured pearl and sapphire set clasp, length 54cm The necklace is in good condition. It fastens with a tongue and box clasp. The clasp has a worn stamp - it appears to read `9CT`, and in our opinion it would test as gold. The pearls measure 6.5mm to 9mm. They are ivory-white in colour with tones of pinky-green. Gross weight 45.4 grams. CR made 21st March 2013

An Amethyst and Seed Pearl Brooch/Pendant on Chain, of stylised floral form, with detachable pendant loop, measures 3.4cm by 4.5cm, on a curb link chain, length 51.5cm Overall good condition. The pin is out of shape. It is possibly made of steel. The brooch has a pin and hook catch. The chain has a tongue and barrel catch. The chain features extension links. Neither piece bears a hallmark, nor stamp, but in our opinion they would test as gold. Gross weight 10.8 grams. CR made 7th May 2013

A Victorian Garnet Set Brooch, a carbuncle garnet centrally within a floral style beaded and engraved frame, measures 4.7cm by 4.4cm and A Victorian Brooch, set with purple stones, in a frame with textured leaf motifs and beading, measures 3.7cm by 3cm (2) Both brooches are in fairly good condition - with some wear to the stones. Both fasten with pin and hook catches. The first example is possibly gold, the second unlikely to be, neither bear a hallmark, nor stamp. CR made 21st March 2013
