BROADHURST CLARKSON & CO LTD; a three draw leather and brass telescope, length when extended 75cm.Additional InformationYou can see through the telescope but there looks to be a build up of dirt. The eye piece has a slight dent and one of the drawers has a dent and rubbing where the slide action has worn. The makers stamp is bright and clear and there are a few scratches to the lens.

Afghan Flintlock musket, the 37.5 inch barrel struck with three gold inlaid proof marks and fitted with sights, elaborately decorated stock inlaid with pearl devices separated by brass borders, the lock originally from a Brown Bess bearing tower stamp and George III crown.Section 58(2) Antique /obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Condition report: The only split to the stock is beside the side nail, it is relatively minor and can be seen on the image online. The action is stiff but works. The frizzen is very loose.

Some pitting to metalwork especially around the nipple area of the barrel as well as muzzle. The bore has some pitting but rifling remains. Stock has dents and bruises but nothing defacing. There are faint vice marks to the stock which are only visible on very close inspection. Not totally sure the ramrod is correct.

The sword with a curved blade with spear point and fullers, with various marks include S&K for Schinitzler and Kirschbaum who traded between 1811 and 1865, with British Board of Ordnance inspectors stamp for Liege c1860, German marks, crown over F.W., also with 'sold out of service' marks. Steel pommel and backstrap, wooden grips replaced. Lacking scabbard, blade 88cm, 101cm overall. A Colin Frank Windebank 258684, is recorded as a member of the Dorset Regiment and as being killed in action in July 1944, he is buried at Hottot-Les-Bagues Cemetery, Calvados, France.

A Louis XV tulipwood, specimen marquetry and parquetry serpentine commode, stamped * A LAPIE, circa 1760, gilt metal mounted throughout, the variegated grey marble top above two drawers and a shaped apron, flanked by serpentine shaped angles and square section tapering cabriole shaped legs terminating in sabots, stamped * A LAPIE and JME to the front right corner of the top beneath the marble, 88cm high, 145cm wide, 71cm deep Please note: This commode is stamped by the maker LAPIE, and with adjacent guild stamp JME. The maker is almost certainly Nicolas Alexandre Lapie (made master in 1764). There were other makers by the surname of Lapie during a similar period, but whilst the first initial of the stamp is indistinct, the clear and legible initial 'A' strongly suggests that the commode was made by Nicolas Alexandre Lapie. It has a polished rear edge and may possibly be associated but matched the shape of the piece as one would expect. Of cleaned/polished appearance.
