1848-59 1d orange-vermilion, early impression (SG 7), corner crease and some repaired thinning, slightly cut-into at upper and lower right corners, close to good margins elsewhere, used by large numeral cancel (R.L. C13) but numeral not clear, a good representative 'space-filler' of this rare stamp, 'pink' BPA cert (2012), cat £7,000,
Officials: 1866 (Oct) 2a purple "Foreign Bill" stamp, with upper and lower inscriptions removed, overprinted 'SERVICE POSTAGE' in green (SG O16), a few short perfs (mentioned for accuracy) but well centred, very lightly used by diamond of bars and with no trace of the surface imperfections so often found on this issue, rare so fine, Brandon cert (1986)
1938-51 £1 brown-purple and black/salmon, lower left corner block of 4 (R4/5-1-2), lower left stamp (R5/1) showing 'missing pearl' variety (SG 114b/ba), also block of 4 10s green and red/green, ordinary paper (SG 113c) from same position, this with variety retouched but damage to pearl still visible, former fine u/m, latter hinged in margin and upper left stamp a couple of shortish perfs

1858 Sepember 26 cover to England, 24c rate paid by horizontal pair 1857-61 12c grey-black, plate I (SG 40), tied by blue cds for Sep 26, with fine 'AMERICA/LIVERPOOL/PAID' cds for Oc 17 58 in red to left and bold '19' rate hand-stamp, also in red, reverse bears Boston transit cds for 6 Oct, left hand adhesive straight edge at left (design cut-into) and cover creasing at left
1935 (21 Dec) cover to England, franked on reverse by 1935 Christmas 3m on 1p carmine (SG A11), tied by 'retta' cancel in black, cover with tone spotting and creasing but this not affecting adhesive, this does have a tiny corner crease which appears to have occurred before the stamp was affixed to the envelope, face bears red 'crown' EGYPT/POSTAGE PREPAID/19 and Cairo cds for 21 DEC 35, clear RPS cert (2000)
Trengganu: 1942 (Sept) hand-stamp type 1 in black, used 'set' 1c black to 50c green and carmine, also $3 green and brown-red/green (SG J97/112, J114), comprises chop type "A" 1c, 2c, 2c on 5c, 3c, 4c, 6c, 10c, 12c and 35c, type "E" 1c, 5c, 8c, 20c, 30c and 50c, type "F" 25c and type "H" 8c on 10c and $3, almost all fine and better values accompanied by RPS or BPA certs

1840 1d black Mulready envelope, stereo A133 (Forme 1), used to Mr William Scott of Boswells Green, Roxburghshire, used by neat red MC, reverse bears cds for My 8 1840, back flap with contemporary m/s annotation "10 May 1840/First Envelope of Stamp ever received, WS", some soiling and rather heavy horizontal filing crease but rare early usage
