A large French 19th c, style Mantle Clock with spelter style figure of a Greek story teller next to an architectural clock case with adjoining urn on black slate base with cherub decoration, standing on bun feet, lion mask handles, eight day pendulum movement and stamped 1167 and 69, also etched P1516, P19055, P7703 and 105. With lower circular stamp, lettering indistinct with central Maltese cross under crown.
REEL & ACCESSORIES: Fine Abu Cardinal 66 spinning reel, retaining virtually all original green/cream finish, foot stamp 741208, c/w spare spool in tub, handbook and oiler, a collection of early pike floats, an alloy extending salmon gaff with belt clip, rubber grip and a pair of wader hangers.
REELS (3): Revers France 4” mahogany/brass twisting foot casting reel, single handle, sprung twisting foot arrangement, maker’s stamp to face, a Gamage of London 4” mahogany/brass star back reel with line guide, twin horn handles, ratchet optional check and an unusual French Crack 800 automatic fly reel with large scalloped winding disc to front, all good.
REEL: Rare Hardy Perfect 2-3/4” Narrow Drum alloy trout fly reel fitted with 1912 check, white handle, strapped tension regulator, Hardy Patent Alnwick circular stamp to winding plate, correct smooth brass foot, original drum screw, retaining good original dark lead finish (reel measures a fraction under 2-3/4” and a fraction over 2-5/8” outer rim diameter).
REELS & SPOOLS (8): Pair of Abu Sweden Cardinal C5 spinning reels, good black finish with under slung drag adjusters, both good, c/w 4 spare spools and 2 zip cases, an Ambassadeur Ultra Mag XL3 multiplier reel with level wind, free spool and star drag, foot stamp 84-2 and a well-used Garcia Mitchell 300 spinning reel, mechanically good.
ABU AMBASSADEUR GOLD COLLECTION: Extremely rare set of 3 Abu Garcia gold plated left hand wind reels, the only set supplied to the UK, comprising a Record No.51 gold edition LH 100/200, anodised blue, twin black handles, thumb bar, perforated large arbour spool core, foot stamp 170017/50, an Abu Garcia 5601 C4, gold edition LH 100/200, dark blue finish, thumb bar, foot stamp 170017/50 and a similar model in red, same foot stamp and model codes, all unused, in Abu supplied illuminated oak glazed display case 15”x9”x6”, with 2 glass shelves and removable back, gold plaque to front reads “Ambassadeur 2007 Golden Collection LH 100/200.NOTE: We cannot confirm 200 were actually mad, may have been less, but it would appear those manufactured were supplied to Japan and Scandinavia only.
REELS (9): Abu Cardinal 152 spinning reel, LHW, rear drag, foot stamp 810900, a Malloch Patent 4” all brass side cast reel, non-reversible drum, replacement handle, WF Homer Flick em 4” narrow drum trotting reel, replacement handle, early bar latch, optional check, an Allcock Black Knight 4.5” pressed centre pin reel, JW Young Pridex 4” alloy fly reel, a Shakespeare Super Condex salmon fly reel with fixed check and 3 Intrepid fixed spool reels.
REELS (2): Abu Sweden Ambassadeur 5000 multiplier reel, red grooved end plates, twin white handles, foot stamp 416987, c/w accessories and makers brown leather case and a Pflueger Supreme multiplier reel, fitted with Cub free spool twin handle kit, original handle in box, papers, drawstring pouch and MOB.
