Early Royal Worcester part tea set (circa 1883) We have given each piece a brief examination and made some notes below:There are 9 tea plates, each approx 14cm across, four of which appear to have no damage and only small amounts of wear commensurate with age. Two of the tea plates have hairlines which we have photographed. One tea plate has a chip in the corner, one tea plate has had some damage and been fixed together with an adhesive (see photo, this is the only one that has no purple back stamp) and one has been mended with staples. There are six tea cups which appear to be in good condition with a little wear commensurate with age. There are 3 coffee cans, one of which has 2 hairlines and one of which has a small graze to the rim. There are 2 larger plates which are approx 23.5cm which have no chips, breaks or cracks. There is some staining and a little wear on most of the pieces.
