They were placed on the bell-tower of Santa Maria del Fioro in Florence and now they are shown in the Museum of the Duomo. Original suit vest worn by the character of Thomas Crown (Steve McQueen) in the classic 1968 film The Thomas Crown Affair. Bored millionaire Thomas Crown (Steve McQueen) concocts and executes a brilliant scheme to rob a bank without having to do any of the work himself. When Vicki Anderson, an investigator for the bank's insurance company, takes an interest in Crown, the two begin a complicated cat-and-mouse game with a romantic undertone. This navy blue suit vest without lapels was worn by McQueen in various scenes in the film and features a button up front with two check pockets. The vest features a Western Costume Company typed label stating ‘2200 – 1/Steve McQueen/chest 41 ½’. The vest also has a Western Costume Company Stamp #27 placed near the Western Costume Company label. This piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Studio Auctions.
