JahrhundertsDIE HEILIGE FAMILIE MIT DEM JOHANNESKNABENÖl auf Holz.64 x 50 cm.Verso runder Brandstempel in Form eines Kranzes mit den Inizialen „GT“.Im venezianischen Rahmen.Die Figuren dicht gedrängt und nahe an den Bildbetrachter herangeführt. Die Körperhaltungen bewegt, paarweise jeweils einander zugewandt; so richtet Maria das Gesicht nach rechts auf einen Zweig, der ihr von Josef gereicht wird, während die beiden kindlichen Figuren Jesus und Johannes ebenfalls wie spielerisch an einander umarmen, während Johannes gleichzeitig den Arm um das Lamm in der linken unteren Ecke legt. Der Zweig, den Josef reicht, dürfte wohl für das Lamm bestimmt sein. Es fällt eine kompositionell dominierende diagonale Ordnung im Bild auf, die von links unten nach rechts oben verläuft und für die Darstellung von Bäumen und Landschaft die linke Bildecke freigibt. Eine ähnliche Komposition zeigt das Gemälde desselben Themas von Antonio da Correggio „Madonna della Scodella“ (Galleria nazionale di Parma). Das gelbliche Spätlicht und die gesamte Farbgebung des Bildes lassen den Malstil Oberitaliens erkennen. Dies gilt auch für die Gesichter, wie für die Körperhaltungen. Das Gemälde von hoher Meisterschaft. Der Maler gab dem Gesicht der Maria nicht die übliche idealisierend-schönende Anmutung, sondern den Ausdruck eines aus dem Volk genommenen Modells. Venezianische Maler wie Tizian und Veronese und die Malerei in Parma dürften hier stilistisch einflussgebend gewesen sein. dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: France, Round, rifled barrel with octagonal breech (some signs of use inside, bore mostly clean, clearly visible rifling), featuring various marks such as the typical papal numbers at the base, 'E S' and 'M' in circles, 'T.1866' and 'H' in a rhombus, provided with clutch for the bayonet and foresight. Tang with fixed rear sight and model inscription. Backward spring lock marked 'M.re Imp.le de Chatellerault' and marked 'M' under star and in a shield. Working mechanism. Three-quarter wooden stock with stamp on the right side of the butt stock which is not clearly visible but has well stamped marks on the left side such as the numbering (different from the barrel) and other crowned stamps, a few sins of use. Brass mounts with strongly visible marks. Butt-plate with marked screw and dot. Iron ramrod. Marked socket bayonet, length: 52.8 cm. Probably purchased by the Papal States to equip their troops. length 114,7 cm.
dating: 1813 provenance: Charleville, Smoothbore, two-stage, 17, 5 mm cal. barrel, the base dated '1813'; lock marked 'Manuf. Imp. le de Charleville' and with a scarcely legible mark; brass pan; iron tang with mark 'T' between two stars within a crown; wooden stock with several marks, 'P' under crown, 'GN' and a stamp of '1813'; brass mounts all marked en suite, the counterplate also 'GN', iron ramrod. length 36.5 cm.
dating: First half of the 20th Century provenance: Rome, Beautiful helmet covered with black fur, a crowned Savoy eagle on the opposite side, red-and-white painted cross on a Savoy knot. Gilt-brass comb with lion's head and badge with fasces above a star. Complete with chin-strap, cockade and heron feather aigrette. Original, leather and white silk lining, both with the gold stamp of Ugo Puri, Rome. The jacket with all effects and Major's epaulettes, made of black fabric with collar (signs of use and time) richly embroidered with threads. Ribbons on the front part, label of the tailors Molinari and Leoni of Rome inside, with the owner's name 'Marini'. Complete with weathervane with cartridge box. Together with black trousers with burgundy cloth bands. An interesting Major's ensemble of the future police general Marini, only the division of Rome was provided with this rare helmet. height helmet 24 cm.
dating: Late 19th Century provenance: Kingdom of Italy, Slightly curved blade with cylindrical back, richly engraved with a dense pattern of racemes on half its length, on the third side the arms of the Savoy family, on the fourth side a large Savoy eagle, at the base a stamp with five-pointed star and the emblem of the Military Union of Rome and the marking 'F. HÖRSTER SOLINGEN.' Hilt with four iron loop-guards, long checkered cap, ebony grip. Old gilded threads sword knot with signs of use. Iron scabbard with two lugs. length 96,5 cm.
dating: 1943 provenance: Kingdom of Italy, Iron skull with beautiful fur band featuring the Savoy cross-shaped coat of arms; crested helmet with embossed, gilt-brass crest with lion's head and a badge with crowned monogram 'VE' at the base. Cuirassed chin-strap with brass plates. Tricolour, cloth cockade. A grenade with Savoy cross featuring a plume bearing a heron's feather aigrette on the left side. Leather sweat-band inside and white silk cap with gold stamp 'Cav. F. Sardi & Figlio C. Stupinigi 157 bis - int. 6 Torino'. Together with a cylindrical, silver-plated metal tube to host the aigrette, engraved with the dedication 'Gli Ufficiali del Comando Truppe al Deposito Nizza Cavalleria al Loro Colonnello Comandante Torino 17-4-1943 XXI°'. A lid with coat of arms of the Nice Cavalry regiment, on the other lid a grenade. height 30 cm.

Frame with remains of Lefaucheux company marks on one side, stamp 'LF' and serial number '65xxx' on the opposite side. Remains of a mark on the side of the barrel. Some signs of use and time. Smooth, wooden grips. Ring for the strap. length 25,3 cm.
dating: late 18th Century provenance: Paris, Smoothbore, round, 18 mm cal. barrel, with remains of marks at the base, one of these 'ML'; flintlock signed 'M.re De Paris' and with two Revolutionary era marks. Wooden full stock (on the side of the counterplate stamp 'AN' under Phrygian cap), with iron mounts and ramrod. length 30.5 cm.

Full wooden stock with round stamp on the blade, Y 300 marking (pontifical acceptance?) and crowned 'T'. Iron mounts, butt-plate with dotted screw (another feature suggesting the papal use), remains of other marks. Missing ramrod. Rare. length 142 cm.
dating: early 20th Century provenance: Kingdom of Italy, Black felt bicorn with silver-and gold-threaded decorations and ranks, ostrich's feathers and complete with the rare aigrette of heron feathers. The lining with the gold stamp of the Beretta tailor of Turin. The jacket featuring black fabric decorations, clack velvet collar and sleeves with red piping. The front part with the orders' ribbons: Military of Savoy, Mauriziana Medal, of Saints Maurice and Lazarus, of the Crown of Italy, Seniority Cross, Cross of War Merit, commemorative medal of the wars for the Unity and Independence of Italy, commemorative medal of the Unification of Italy; above the ribbons a badge for a promotion. With light-blue silk scarf. Label of the same tailor with the owner's name 'Gen. Sircana' inside. Complete with trousers. Together with General Sircana's 1937 Artillery Association membership card and a b/w photograph of him with autograph. dimensions various cm.

Flintlock battery with remains of stamp 'GM' for Giovanni Mazzocchi. Working mechanism. Wooden full stock with brass mounts featuring remains of gilding and iron ramrod. On the left side stamps marked on the wood 'API' in a shield, numbering and 'M'. length 24 cm.
dating: 1887 provenance: Terni, Rifled, 10 mm cal. barrel (clean bore, barely visible rifling), provided with foresight, club guide for the bayonet, adjustable rear sight, serial number 'KL61xx', marking 'TERNI', various marks and date '1887'. Working revolving-sliding bolt, without protective sheath. Wooden full stock, various Savoy marks, '1888' Terni stamp on the butt stock and coeval serial number on the barrel.
