An early 19th Century Davenport porcelain part dinner service comprising 26 plates, 16 bowls, circular dish and two rounded rectangular serving dishes with floral spray polychrome decoration and moulded edges, bowls and plates bearing impressed anchor mark, serving dishes un-marked CONDITION REPORTS Soup plates approx. 6.25 cm diameter, plates approx. 6.25 cm diameter, largest platter approx. 34.5 cm long, circular dish approx. 31 cm diameter. Various backstamps and marks, soup plates include many with anchor motif, some plates appear to just have a small circular stamp to centre of underside, some of the soup plates have four small indentations arranged in a circle/square to underside, some of the soup plates have a small plain circle to centre of underside. All items with wear and scuffs, some scuffs to decoration, most with frits and chips some crazing and staining, and some items with rim chips. Circular shallow dish very stained and yellowed, some dirt, chips and crazing. Smaller platter with hairline cracks, stains and chips, and is very yellowed. Larger platter yellowed and with scratches. Five soup plates cracked. Plates : many have chips to edges including some quite large chips, three plates cracked, back stamps include some with anchor mark, some with an indistinct indentation to underside, some with small circular shaped indentation to underside, some with the four triangular shaped marks arranged in a square/circle to underside, some with no apparent stamp to underside. All items with various wear and scuffs, some wear and scratches, and some losses to painted decoration. Sizes, shape and thickness of potting do vary slightly from plate to plate and from soup plate to soup plate, with the items with differing back stamps varying slightly from each other.
A 19th Century Indian Talwar, the curved blade with maker stamp, the cast silvered metal handle of ornate design, 95 cm long total CONDITION REPORTS The blade is quite worn and scuffed and tip worn. Wear to the finish of the grip and guard, and some losses to the finish. There appears to be a split and a repair to the guard.
A mid 20th Century oak extending dining table by Gordon Russell, the cross banded top over a moulded frieze on octagonal supports to waisted feet, bears "Russell of Broadway" label to underside and Utility "CC" stamp No'd 418-F161, 166 cm x 83 cm max CONDITION REPORTS Some general wear and scuffs, some knocks and bumps to edges, leaves have had less use and are less faded than the table top, table top itself with some fading marks and scratches and some drying to the finish/varnish, some slight splitting along the grain, there are some deep scratches/gouges to one edge, but generally appears in reasonably tidy condition.
