Autograph front panel of an envelope, unsigned, to G.W. Rusden, (stamp neatly removed with replacement stamp 1857 later added), n.p., n.d.; FitzRoy Somerset, 1st Baron Raglan (1788-1855), Commander of British troops in the Crimea. Franking signature on a cover addressed to Mrs Walpole in Swaffham, 1833; Duke of Wellington (1769-1852), British Prime Minister and Victor at Waterloo, complete Autograph envelope signed, with his initial "W" in the lower left corner. The envelope is hand addressed by Wellington to an address in France and is marked 'immediate' at the upper edge. With a Penny Red postage stamp and the red wax seal intact to the reverse; James Brudenell, 7th Earl of Cardigan (1797-1868), Lieutenant-General. Commander of the Light Brigade. A small archive of material relating to members of one family who served in World War I: items relating to Cpl. H (or W) Lane, including a hand-written note-book inscribed "159420 Cpl.H (or W) Lane. 53rd (Y.S.) Bn "The Queens" Regt. St. Albans, Herts" and entitled "Notes taken at the Eastern Command Bombing School, Godstone, Surrey. No.3.Squad. Commencing Aug. 19th 1918", with rubber stamp of the Bombing School and comment "Very Good Work", signed and dated 30/8/18, describing fuzes, detonators, types of explosive and types of grenade, including approximately 20 printed diagrams of British and German grenades, the note-book worn and binding loose but contents good: items relating to Gunner Maurice Hubert Lane, Royal Field Artillery, who died from wounds 22/4/17, aged 20, including memorial plaque certificate, Imperial War Graves Commission printed card giving details of grave and photograph of temporary wooden cross, colour photo of grave, "War Graves Photograph & Wreath Company" order form, a small army form dated Jan.1918 informing location of grave (worn), "Effects Form" dated 28/7/17, Y.M.C.A envelope and letter to his parents dated 19/1/17 etc; also items to Cpl, later Sgt, Wilfred Beaufort Lane, 8th and 10th Bn. The Queens (Ryl.West Surrey) Regt, including notification that he had been wounded dated 7/10/15, Demobilization Account date-stamped 1919, Savings Certificates, and a group photograph of men of the Queen's Regt. in hospital uniform presumably including Cpl. Lane; also a large quantity of photo-copied research; a pre-WWI photograph of an unidentified family group; several photographs of RFC personnel and a WWI VAD nurse (worn); and 13 WWII photographs (possibly post-war prints) of large Japanese submarines, sailors, etc (curled up at the edges). An interesting lot.

Francis Borgel cased Alpina wristwatch. Steel case, 30mm without crown. Springbars. Screw caseback, marked antimagnetique, impermeable, inoxyable, pare chocs, with serial. Signed internally, Alpina, Union Horologere, with Francis Borgel stamp (FB plus key motif) and patent plus Swiss brevete symbol. Silvered dial with faint crazing, luminous material on dial markers appears original, hands refinished, signed Alpina and Swiss Made. Signed Alpina 586 movement, serial partially obscured by train bridge, shock protected balance, generally clean, running condition. Potentially on an original strap (or at least period). VGC

A vintage Yamaha ERG 121 electric guitar instrument having a Yamaha stamp to the headstock with chrome tuning pegs, an agathis body with a bolt on maple neck and a sonokeling fingerboard. It has three pickups, two humbuckers in the bridge and neck positions and a single coil pickup in the middle 3 pickups and a black gloss finish to the body.
