A Beswick model of a grey mare, black stamp to base, a 19th century Staffordshire flatback model of a zebra and a 19th century Staffordshire cow creamer with painted red and blue body, height of largest 20.5cm (3). CONDITION REPORT The Beswick horse has light crazing throughout, otherwise good condition.The zebra has cracks to reverse and back leg, crazed, chips to base. The cow creamer horns are broken off, minor chips to ears and lower jaw.
Four late 19th century Japanese coloured woodblock prints backed on parchment comprising of, Sakashita, 48th station from 'The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido', a fisherman with rod on rock, small red seal stamp lower right, figures resting by fire pit with a bipedal monkey in red gown, small red seal stamp lower left, figures by the water's edge processing sea food, all 19cm x 27cm (all af) (4). CONDITION REPORT All shown with water damage from the top.
Various stamps and ephemera including two stamp albums, the green folder contains eleven pages mostly early 20th century including USA, South Africa, GB etc, the black folder contains more than thirty pages, mainly South Africa including Swaziland royal visit 1947, ephemera includes a Chipperfields circus programme, an amateur drawn comic book, six 1940s Selhurst Grammar School magazines.
Fourteen vintage photographs (some artist impressions) depicting the Lunar Module in the construction phase (2) and during the mission to the Moon (12). Seven photographs, most likely by Craig Kavafes, feature Grumman number captions printed in the margin and typed captions attached on verso. Accompanied by Contract Signed to Develop Lunar Excursion Module. NASA News Release. Release no 63-51. For immediate release, March 11, 1963. 3 pages. Other assorted brochures and technical specifications of the lunar module are also included in this lot. Condition Report: All six prints with Grumman LEM numbering in bottom margins have visible toning to the margins. Typed captions are attached by tape in two areas each approx. 12 cm long to reverse of each of those prints. Very occasional small crease to the edge. Two prints have stains on the reverse along the edge. The front surface is clean. Print No 651088 bears a 3.2 cm long tear to the right edge and a 12 cm long crease along the same edge. Remaining eight prints are in good condition but some show age toning. One bears the North American Rockwell Corporation stamp on the reverse. Four other wirephotos bear on the reverse stamps of United Press International Inc. (circled in black biro) and numbers written in hand in red biro. All of the wirephotos are age toned, with photo surface in good condition (minor creases present) and some have stains along the edges (on the reverse). Remaining eleven photographs show signs of age toning and bear captions attached to the reverse by tape. Two of the prints have long creases along the edge or corner (10 and 20 cm long). NASA press releases 62-7 and 64-176: expected age toning, paper clips rusty, pin holes in top left corners (from paperclips), one hand annotation in pencil, slight creasing to the front pages; overall fine.
