Flown in Augusta Bell 205 No 4012 by Lt Col Alonso Vega (Spanish Forces) from the Helicopter Training School at Cuatro Vientos. Personally, Signed by Lt Col Alonso Vega The Covers has a 20c Spanish Stamp depicting a Helicopter. Black flown cachet on the back flown from MT Snowdon to RAF Tern Hill in Westland Signed by the Pilot Captain Wg Cdr F Barnes. Only 100 covers issued. RAF Museum Reference Number SC18c rare cover. Colour postcard issued for 24 group matches, 3 play-off games, 4 x Quarter Finals, 2 x Semi-Finals, 3rd/4th Place play-off, Final and Tournament. The colourful cards feature a match action colour drawing and venue details and are effectively first day covers for each game.. Reverse sides have match details, a World Cup franking and date stamp over Swedish World Cup postage stamp. Housed in plastic sleeves. Rare to obtain the complete set. Good
FOOTBALL LEAGUE BADGE 1903-04 Excellent embroidered cloth badge with pin clasp on reverse. The front is embroidered "The Football League, Irish Match 1903-04", the Football League won 2-1 at Valley Parade, Bradford. The reverse has a stamp which states "W.McGregor Summer Lane Birmingham". The score has been written onto the back. Probably worn by a Football League dignitary or possibly a player. Good
ST JOHNSTONE Ten press photographs, majority pre-war and includes match action from St Johnstone v Rangers Scottish Cup Semi-Final 31/3/1934, v Hearts 16/12/1933, v Queen of the South 1933-34 Cup, others include Joe Caskie in match action, spectators arriving outside Muirton Park, players in training, Bobby Davidson leaving to join Arsenal in February 1935. Most are 10" x 8" with Star Photos Perth copyright stamp on reverse. Also included is a 1933-34 St Johnstone teamgroup from the Sunday Post Football Album , 10" x 8". Some small tears etc, some have captions on the reverse. Fair-generally good
BOXING PHOTOS Three press photographs all with captions and agency stamps on the reverse. Two are Muhammad Ali, 24/7/66 pointing a finger at Jack Solomons and 1/2/67 in boxing gear in training for his bout against Ernie Terrell and with a young child on his knee. Both have Central Press Agency Stamps. The third shows Jersey Joe Walcott standing over Joe Louis after knocking him down for a count of seven in Madison Square Garden. Associated Press stamp and large caption on the reverse, the fight took place in December 1947. All measure 10" x 8", some minor creases. Generally good
