The upper table of the violin in this case was made from an old door of Windsor Castle... Both the case and Violin were made and presented to H.R.H Prince Arthur of Connaught upon his return from India...`, together with a silver mounted bow. Note: Prince Arthur was born the seventh child and third son of Queen Victoria. He was the Commander-in-Chief of the Bombay Army from December 1886 to March 1890.
