dating: about 1920 provenance: State of the Vatican City, Bicorn covered with black felt with large chevron, cockade and threads effects. The interior with leather sweat-band and blue silk bonnet with gold stamp 'A.GALLO Via in Lucina 7 Rome'. Worn lower border and sweat-band. In damaged original cardboard. Black cloth uniform with burgundy trimming, collar and cuffs embroidered with silver-threads floral motifs, complete with epaulettes and rope. Breast with buttonholes for orders. Buttons with tiara and inscription 'GENDARMERIA PONTIFICIA'. Covered with black silk. Together with the photo of the commander Count Paolo Ceccopieri wearing this uniform. height 98 cm.
dating: 1910 - 1920 provenance: Portugal, Partially gilded and enamelled silver plaque of the Order, pierced and partially enamelled crown; brooch and name of the Lisbon manufacturer 'FEDERICO G. DA. COSTA' with address at the rear part. In a case covered with brown leather marked with gold 'D. M. II' under crown and with a flower frame, covered with silk and with Federico da Costa's stamp. Item conferred to Count Paolo Ceccopieri, commander of the Pontifical Gendarmerie. diameter 7.7 cm.

In their original octagonal red box with Pope Benedict XV's gold coat of arms. Covered with silk with the stamp 'TANFANI & BERTARELLI PIAZZA DELLA MINERVA ROMA'. Conferred to Count Riccardo Ceccopieri (1868-1963). dimensions circa 26 x 31 cm.
dating: 1620 - 1640 provenance: Germany, Heavy, smooth-bore, round, bronze, three-stage, 36 mm cal. barrel; first part reduced in diameter, long central segment framed with two rings, finally another segment of reduced diameter before the nozzle with moulded muzzle, again slightly reduced. Short, wide and smooth tang. Big external wheel-lock, flat plate, tang with Nuremberg stamp, wheel framed in 'bresciana' style, snake-shaped cock, engraved, with chiselled spring and ending in baluster. Sliding pan cover, safety lock. Partially finished internal part and with Brescia mark (Der Neue Stöckel 7979). Full, fruit-wood stock, decorated with filigree through all the length, with brass-thread floral motifs. Iron trigger-guard. Butt-plate and muzzle in brass foil. Barrel locking mechanism and plates in the lower part of the barrel in bone. See other examples in 'Guns and Rifles of the World' by Howard L.
