With partial dust wrapper, designed by Phyllis Chase. This was Enid Blyton’s first book. Together with BLYTON, Enid, Billy-Bob Tales, Methuen, London, 1942 3 rd edition, lacking wrapper and Ten Minute Tales, Methuen, London, 1942 4 th (School) edition, lacking wrapper. [3]Condition report: Child Whispers is a very clean copy Minor spotting to front endpaper, named in red ink to top of endpaper. Wrapper has significant area of loss to back panel, area of loss to top of front panel affecting text. Further area of loss at base of spine. Billy Bob Tales has a stain on front board. Minor marking on endpapers. Ten-Minute Tales is worn, has many Sellotape repairs to pages. Library stamp to front endpaper.

Folio sized folder containing 27, tissue guarded heliogravure plates. All plates as called for. Booklet containing detailed descriptions of the plates.Condition report: Folder with some edgewear. One internal folder flap detached, other with tears. Inked ‘Chest Drawer 5’ to head of front board. Library stamp on the reverse of each plate, tippexed out.

A Wheatstone concertina with forty-eight buttons, pierced rosewood ends with makers stamp and numbered 7882, 16cm diameter Condition Report: The bellows are intact. One leather finger strap is broken. All the buttons are in place. Some of the buttons are sticky. There are scuff marks and general wear and tear to wooden and leather components as is to be expected with a well played instrument of this age.

dating: 1863 - 1875 provenance: USA, Octagonal, rifled, cal. 44 barrel, with fore-sight, patent marking and address in two lines and 'NEW MODEL', stamps 'W', 'T' and 'P', numbered '522xx'. Smooth, six-shot cylinder, with stamp 'W'. Frame stamped 'W' and 'P'. Brass trigger-guard with the same stamp. Wooden grip scales (both with a small, restored block). Cartridge rammer lever marked 'W'. Serial number '520xx' inside the grip. Antique finishing at 65%. In good working order. length 35 cm.

dating: 18th Century provenance: France, Long, single-edged blade, marked 'ROCHE' and with flower stamp. Grip in two, folding parts, covered with ivory plates with iron rivets, with yellow gold rosettes. Back with iron spring with fix closure. The two parts of the grip compose the grip when closed and scabbard when open. length open 27.5 cm.

dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Papal States, Round, rifled, 13 mm cal. barrel, with octagonal base, numbered, with stamp 'A' inside a circle, with foldaway and adjustable rear sight, fore-sight and clutch for a bayonet. Frame with rolling block, remains of pontifical stamp, upper tang marked 'REMINGTON'S PATENT'. Wooden butt and fore-end. Iron mounts with traces of finishing. Butt-plate stamped with crowned 'S', bands with remains of other marks. Iron ramrod. Yatagan-bayonet (length 69.2 cm) with brass grip and iron scabbard. length 100,7 cm.
