ENGLAND 1935 Two press photographs of England circa 1934-35. One measures 9" x 7" showing the England football team in the shadow of a stand. 14 players in full England squad including Copping, Brook, Drake and a young Stanley Matthews. Seems to be a sunny day so possibly abroad !!. The second photograph has a Sport and General Press Agency stamp and measures 8" x6" and shows dignitaries being introduced to the England team on the pitch, seven England players in the picture and is possibly England v Ireland at Goodison in 1935. Generally good
An early 20th Century Parnell & Sons Ltd "Pure Butter", shop display dish in cream glazed pottery, titled to edging, bearing stamp to underside "Parnell & Sons Ltd, Lodge Causeway, Fishponds, Bristol" CONDITION REPORTS Significant crazing all over especially to the top and under side. There is wear to the edges especially around the corners. Areas of discolouration especially in the crazing, in need of a clean, has general wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for further details. Approx 35 cm square to the top and 6 cm in height. Colour is very subjective, now photographed against white sheet

Harry Morley, ARA (1881-1943) Figures on a beach, low tide with the artist's studio stamp watercolour 23 cm by 28.5 cm; 9in by 11 1/4 in A winner of the prestigious Rome Scholarship in the mid 1920s, Morley's best work reflects the influence of Italian Art of the Renaissance with a characteristic British twentieth century twist. He was a keen painter of the sea throughout his life, executing many watercolours of scenes along the British coast in places such as the North Norfolk, Kent and Dorset.
