General surface wear throughout, clear hallmarks. The second salt has replaced blue glass liner, very little give to the lid. General surface wear, slight obscure mark and with maker's mark stamp to the base.

Boer War 1900 Other Rank’s White Foreign Service Helmet.A good rare example of the high crown pattern helmet with wrapped pagri. The interior retaining leather sweatband, this with WD 1900 issue stamp. Complete with with button to the crown and brass chinchain with leather backing. Evidence of a helmet plate having been worn to the front. The helmet retains a good shape, with no damage to the cork. Exterior has been whitened.
Royal Buckinghamshire Hussars Officer’s Busby. A fine Officer’s fur busby, worn by Captain Hallowes. Brown fur busby fitted with a scarlet bag with three lines of silver flat braid and silver bullion gimp pearl button. To the front a bullion silver cockade and to the body three silver bullion lines. The interior with leather sweatband and crimson silk lining with tailor’s gold embossed stamp of Hawkes London. Retaining silvered gimp chin chain with velvet backing. A silvered boss supports an all white plume. Contained in the original japanned storage tin with brass engraved name plate “Captain Hallowes Bucks Yeo”. The plume is also contained in tin. The overall condition is good some age and storage wear.
Worcestershire Regiment Other Rank’s Issue Scarlet Tunic.A good post 1902 Other Rank’s scarlet working frock tunic, with white facings to the collar, shoulder straps and cuffs. The collar retaining a pair of regimental collar badges and to the shoulder straps brass titles. The left sleeve tailored with two cloth Good Conduct stripes. Complete with brass General Service buttons, the interior has been tailored by the original owner with crimson wool lining and bears an issue stamp for the Regiment and date December 1913. Scarlet dulled with small holes to the left sleeve.
WW1 Tank Corps Officer’s Attributed Uniform.This uniform is attributed to Captain Reginald Frank Shaw MBE, who was one of the early members of the Tank Corps and was commissioned in 1917, later serving in South Russia.Comprising: 1917 shoulder rank tunic, complete with Captain rank stars and green silk fragments indicating 3rd Bn to the shoulder straps. Complete with Tank Corps collar badges, buttons and cloth sleeve badge. .... Trousers these tailored with turn ups and the lining with WD 1918 issue stamp. ... Officer’s floppy trench cap complete with badge. ... Silver ID bracelet “2ND LT R.F. SHAW C OF E TANK CORPS”. ... Sam Browne Belt. ... etc. Contained in original trunk this with name and Tank Corps to the lid. The tunic and trousers now with age wear and overall moth holes, the cap with little moth damage but remains good.Captain Reginald Frank Shaw MBE was an early member of the Tank Corps, enlisting in the ranks. A photograph is known of him with his tank at the first tank battle at Amiens on the 15th September 1916, whilst with the 12th Bn. He was commissioned into the Tank Corps on the 28th August 1917 and in March 1919 he was selected to join the South Russia expedition as an instructor, he is listed as Battle Practice and Whippet Tank Instructor. He resigned his commission in March 1920, having been awarded the MBE, Russian Order of St.Vladimir, Order of St. Anne. After service he settled in Staffordshire and during WW2 served with the Stone Fire Service and later was commissioned into the RAFVR.

The forte with maker’s stamp “Eickhorn Solingen”. Brass crossguard with central anchor panel. Brass eagle pommel with central swastika. White, ivorine twist grip with wire binding. Contained in its brass scabbard with lightening bolt decoration. Two loose hanging rings. Scabbard with various knocks. Polished condition.
