Measurements 20 x 15.5 cm, frame 36 x 31 cm Condition report: The work is a drawing on paper, with scratched lines. There is an inventory number '115' top left in pencil and a stamp bottom right corner. The paper appears overall in stable condition with no obvious evidence for rips, tears or deterioration. There is some dark staining in the centre figure as well as ageing and surface dirt on the paper. Not examined external to the frame.

French Napoleonic Period 1815 Blade Cuirassier’s sword.A good scarce example. Single edged straight blade,with large double fullers and hachet point. The back of the blade with maker’s engraved name and dated 1815 and with inspector's stamp of a “L”. Brass four bar open guard with flat balls and leather covered grip this with twelve twist wire binding. The latter surmounted by a brass shaped pommel. Housed in its original steel scabbard with two loose suspension rings. Overall GC Blade length 38 inches

Georgian Officer’s Mameluke Hilted Fighting Sword.This is a heavy weight example, with a plain piped back curved 35 inch blade. To the forte an inspection stamp of a Crown over an inverted ‘F’. The back of the blade stamped “Shorn”. The hilt with two piece grip and gilt cross guard terminating in ball finials. Housed in brass scabbard with two loose rings. GC.

Victorian Attributed Royal Ayr and Wigtown Militia Officer’s shako.This shako is attributed to Lieutenant Hamilton D.Boswell who was serving with the Royal Ayr and Wigtown Militia in 1876.Officer’s shako with dark blue body with diced band red-white-red, red-green-red and red-white-red. Complete with mohair plaited cap lines terminating with acorn devices and also with scarlet woollen ball tuft. The interior is with leather sweatband and silk lining with tailor’s gold stamp of C Prater & Co. London. Minor moth to one edge of crown otherwise GC. ... Contained in original shako tin with brass name plate H.D. Boswell Esq. (2 items) PLEASE NOTE Shako plate not present. Lt Hamilton D.Boswell promoted Lt 11 Nov 1876.
