Freda Marston (British 1895-1949), "Winter Sunshine (Hadleigh, Suffolk)" and "November Day (Brock Farm, Dedham)", a pair of engravings, signed and titled in pencil under margins, each with line stamp, plates 18 cm x 22.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both pictures are framed and glazed. The frames are simple aluminium type frames and are both in good order. Both mounts are slightly yellowed. The same comment applies to both images. “November Day” is slightly more discoloured than “Winter Sunshine”. “November Day” has no foxing. “Winter Sunshine” has one very small foxing mark to the right of the cottage and just above the haystack. It is really a very small mark.

Pedestals/Plinths: A rare Manifattura di Signa terracotta pedestal Italian, late 19th century with circular makers stamp 112cm high Manifattura di Signa produced copies of antiquities and renaissance models in terracotta from the late 19th century. The company had outlets in Florence, Rome and Turin and catered for wealthy patrons doing the Grand Tour of Italy. The manufactory was active at a time when remodelling English gardens, often in an Italian classical or renaissance style was particularly fashionable. The pedestal is illustrated in their catalogue, model no. 1492.
Garden Seats: A rare suite of Coalbrookdale Nasturtium pattern cast iron seat and two chairs last quarter 19th century the seat stamped CBDale, with diamond registration stamp and number 195629, 138cm long, the pair of chairs, stamped CBDale and Co with diamond registration, numbered 195629 and stamped 44 This design was registered and patented at the Public Records Office by Coalbrookdale on the 1st of March 1866 and is seat number 44 in their 1875 catalogue of castings.
