A GEORGIAN NAVAL ANCHOR HILT DIRK, 30cm flattened diamond section fullered blade, characteristic copper gilt hilt, the underside of the guard stamped FT, tapering ivory grip. Circa 1780. The FT stamp is that of Francis Thurkle of 15 Great New Square London, significant contract maker during the American War of Independence and the Napoleonic Wars.
