Pioneer Aviation Period Two Blade Wooden Propeller by the Integrale Propeller Company of France.An unusual a scarce example of a laminated propeller, the boss with various serial stampings including 'Serie 1071' The propeller is a thickness at the boss of only 3 inches and boss hole of 5 1/2 inches with seven stud fixing. The obverse with burnt in makers stamp, the reverse with colourful makers transfer, this confirming the original thickness. The transfer to the reverse would indicate a pusher style aircraft. The prop with some age wear, old repairs and edge knocks. Remains a fine rare display item Diameter 102 inches The vendor believes this propeller came from the Estate of the late Air Vice Marshal Charles Hubert Boulby Blount, CB, OBE, MC (26 October 1893 Ð 23 October 1940) Great War pilot and in 1939 became AOC of the Air Component of the British Expeditionary Force, part of British Air Forces France. H was killed an air accident in October 1940, when a scheduled flight from Hendon Aerodrome to Belfast, his aircraft crashed shortly after take off.

D Type canvas oxygen mask, this tailored with frost protector stud attachments and section of cotton towards metal ring mount for microphone indicating early issue. Fitted with a type 19 flat microphone, complete with wiring and jackplug. Both mask and helmet with faint ink name. ... Complete with MKIIIa Flying goggles, fitted with clear lenses and original leather and elasticated strap, this with faint issue stamp for 1939. An outstanding example of the type.
WW2 RAF Battle of Britain Period 1939 dated 1932 Pattern Green Mae West.A rare RAF issue example, made of green material tailored with three buttons and strap and buckle fitting to the front. The front with stencilled instructions and the interior with 1939 Air Ministry issue label and also patent number stamps. Retaining original working 'Dot' zip. The mae west appears to be contemporary fitted with a yellow bladder this with a tested date stamp '6/42'. Slight service and age wear. Not to be confused with the RCAF issue of the pattern

William Powell Frith, RA (British, 1819-1909) 'Flowers' signed and dated lower left "W P Frith 1874" oil on canvas 111 x 102cm (43 x 40in) Provenance: Christie's, London, sale, 24 October 1975, lot 91, where purchased by the vendor Exhibited: London, Royal Academy, 1875, no. 893, entitled 'Flowers' Other Notes: William Powell Frith was a Victorian phenomenon. Six of his paintings at the Royal Academy required a guard and a rail to protect them from the clamorous and enthusiastic crowds including his "Derby Day". Sacheverell Sitwell described his work as "fascinating ... studies of contemporary life". "William Powell Frith: The People's Painter" is at the Mercer Art Gallery, Swan Road, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, until 29 September 2019. Oil on canvas which is unlined and has a supplier stamp for Charles Roberson on the reverse. The canvas tension is good, there are slight stretcher bar marks forming. There is a small tear in the lower right hand corner with associated paint loss. The paint layer is in a very good condition overall. The varnish is yellowed but even and glossy. There is a layer of surface dust with fly spots and brown stains. The frame is in a good condition with a few localised losses to the gilding.
