Bayonets all with wear and scuffs, some knocks and bumps, some rusting and pitting, two of scabbards appear to have fairly new leather replacements, and possibly some replacement metal fittings. The other leather scabbard is more worn and bears a mark/stamp (see photos), metal attachements/pins to scabbard appear similar to those on the other scabbards, so not not whether these are original.

Lot 121

1913 LZ 9 First German Airmail at the Rhine River (S 17a). Postcard with airmail stamp sold by the Patriotic Women's Association to raise funds for the Dusseldorf orphans on the occasion of a private flight of L Z 9 Zeppelin on 20th April 1913. The cards were sold for 20pf and the special airmail stamps for 10pf. The military airship flew from Cologne, collected mail from Dusseldorf and flew back to Cologne. Mail was then forwarded by normal services.
