Fretwork tang, with a scene with a person hunting a deer with bow and arrow. Crowned stamp 'PV' (for Pasquale Villani di Campobasso). Rectangular base, with molded decorations and central knot. Iron grip in one piece, with flat pommel of circular shape, curved on one side and adorned with grooves. Brown, horn grip scales with silver escutcheon. length 47 cm.

In their wooden case, lined with brown velvet (partially worn-out), with bullet mold combined with nipple and barrel wrench, two small, bone containers. The cover with name-plaque 'P. dating: 16th/17th Century provenance: Europe, Strong, octagonal, smooth-bore, 16 mm cal. barrel, with a fine, bronze decoration at the nozzle, to effigy a lion's head in whose open jaws passes the barrel, remains of a stamp. Lock with flat plate, of rectangular shape, in iron, serpentine not functioning. Bar-trigger. Wooden, full stock (later?) with palmed butt, with 'V' decoration with leaves. Some woodworm damage and parts missing. There is another matchlock musket in this sale with the same mark on the butt. length 119 cm.
dating: 18th Century provenance: Austria, Fine, 13 mm cal. barrel of Turkish origin, late 17th century, of round section, with thin rib on the back and moulded muzzle, gold-inlaid with rinceaux at the base and next to the nozzle, remains of gilded stamp. Lock probably converted to percussion, with thick, flat, iron plate. European stock of the 18th century, with various parts missing and woodworm holes. The barrel is probably a trophy of the Vienna Battle. length 166,5 cm.
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Brescia, Smooth-bore, round, 16 mm cal. barrels, in finest damask, decorated with raisers, rib (different damask weave) with fore-sight; tang with sight, finely engraved with floral motifs; backward spring locks signed 'GALAGGI' and engraved en suite, the cocks featuring two lions placed on a rosette; briar-root, half stock, deeply embossed with floral motifs on the grip and left side with a bird and foliage. German silver mounts, trigger-guard with a hunter and hound. The barrels signed below 'A. FRANZINI GARDONE' and with a crowned stamp 'AF'. Brass-tipped wooden ramrod and iron cartridge extractor. A compartment for a bayonet in the butt-plate. length 121 cm.

Frame with rolling-block mechanics in working order, serial numbers matching on the barrel, Birmingham stamp and 'REMINGTON'S PATENT' on the upper tang. Wooden, smooth butt and fore-end, with matching serial number and marking 'KAMER' under the butt side. Iron mounts and ramrod. length 130,3 cm.

dating: 1846 provenance: Caucasia, Wooden, leather-covered base structure, the knob and borders with silver mounts, engraved and nielloed, a silver plaque in the knob's center, with a Cossack on horseback, inscription above 'Caucasus' in Cyrillic and with silver stamp dated '1846'. Back knob with a similar plaque with inscription in Cyrillic and date 'Year 1846 September day 28'. The leather decorated with silver studs, saddle-pad in brown, raw fabric with leather borders (damages and parts missing here). Very scarce. length 44 cm.

Freek van den Berg (Dutch 1918-2000): Continental Harbour Scene, watercolour, initialled verso with artist's studio blind stamp 40cm x 50cmProvenance: through the artist's family.
