Rare Battle of Britain pilot Sgt Walter Reginald Evans 85 sqn signed The Skirmishing 10-21 July 1940 signed FDC date stamp 16 June 1990 Biggin Hill. Flown in Sea King HAR 3 of 202 Sqn from RAF Hawkinge over the area 20 miles south of Folkestone. Also signed by the RAF pilots who flew the covers. Evans shared in the destruction of a Do17 on 6th August and claimed a Me109 and a Me110 destroyed on 1st September. Evans was posted to 249 Squadron at North Weald on 11th September and was airborne on a scramble within one hour of arriving. All autographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity. "Le Chinois", nach Jean Baptiste Carpeaux, 2. Ausführung. Büste eines Chinesen mit langem Zopf. Einheitlich schwarz patinierte Bronze und weißer Marmor, der profilierte Sockel aus rotem Marmor. Dazu: Hoher quadratischer schwarz-weißer Marmorsockel.„Le Chinois“ ist eines von Carpeaux' wichtigsten Werken. Der Entwurf stammt aus dem Jahr 1868, als er im Auftrag von George-Eugene Haussmann beauftragt wurde, eine Dekoration für einen Brunnen zu schaffen. „Le Chinois“ gilt als Allegorie des Kontinents Asien. Der Künstler schuf diesen Entwurf in Terracotta, Marmor und Bronze und es gibt Versionen in zwei unterschiedlichen Größen (Höhe 68 cm und 35 cm). Die zweite Version, die naturalistisch ausgeführt ist, entstand 1872. Eine posthume Auflage in Bronze gab es von 1882 bis 1892, die das Adler-Cachet trägt, signiert ist und den Gießerstempel aufweist. (The Royal) / designed by Messrs. COX & KING, Naval Architects.- London: Cox & King, 1900.- 1 álbum [13 f.]: 23 fotografias; 38x45 cm.- E. Album offered by the builders to D. Fernando Serpa Pimentel, at the time the commander of the Yacht Amélia, consisting of a titlepage, with the following inscription (printed): Presented to D. Fernando de Serpa Pimentel, Ajudante de Campo de S.M. El-Rei, Commandante do Yacht Real "Amelia". [followed by handwritten inscription]: With the compliments of the Architects. Here are 12 sheets of thick cardboard on which they were assembled, with strong canvas stubs, 23 large-format photographs (28x37 cm and 23x29 cm) representing five exteriors and 18 interiors of the Amélia Yacht. All photographs have, in the lower right corner, the white stamp: A[rthur]. Debenham - copyright - Cowes & Ryde. Seven cardboard supports with signs of abrasion, without affecting the photographs. Volume covered with entire sheepskin binding, recently made, with the inscription: Royal Yacht "AMELIA"; in the centre of the front cover, gold engraved - Lisbon, November 1901. Volume packed in a recently manufactured case, covered with canvas. Provenance: estate of D. Fernando de Serpa Pimentel.

The expedition for the survey of the rivers Euphrates and Tigris (London, 1850), CHESNEY, Lieut.- Colonel Francis Rawdon.- The expedition for the survey of the rivers Euphrates and Tigris, carried on by order of the British Government, in the years 1835, 1836 and 1837...- London: Longman, 1850.- 2 vols.: il.; 25 cm.- E. Francis Rawdon Chesney (1789-1872), born in Annalong (Ireland), artillery officer, explorer and traveler, best known for having imagined a project for the Suez Canal that was the basis of the undertaking that Ferdinand Lesseps carried out in 1868. The work, initially planned for four volumes, describes the exploration trip through the Euphrates and Tiber valleys, to the Persian Gulf, in search of a solution to shorten the route to India. Chesney then suggested the construction of a railway line that links the Persian Gulf to the closest navigable point on the Euphrates River. The collation of each of the volumes is as follows: I - XXVII, [3], 799 p .: 30 lithographs, XI maps; II - XVI, 778 p .: 20 lithographs. The edition also includes numerous woodcut figures in the text. Both volumes feature a printed card and a library stamp with topographical dimensions, (Hawkesyard Library, Rugeley, UK, which was to be demolished in 2008), on the first flyleaf, with pencil inscriptions, from a bookseller (?), on the back. For the rest, a very clean copy, keeping all prints intact, lined with editorial bindings, in blue canvas, very fresh. Provenance: Roberto Gulbenkian Library.

Frank Sinatra (1915-1998) - American Singer & Actor - a unique and important piece of music memorabilia - Sinatra's personal Embarkation Card following his UK visit in 1970, after two concerts at the Royal Festival Hall, London. The card being filled out by Sinatra when he and his entourage were leaving via Stanstead Airport. Filled out in Sinatra's hand, the card lists his full name, date of birth, passport number and finally his signature. Interestingly he has left the 'Occupation' section unfilled. Yellow, on card stock. The immigration stamp dated 18th Nov 1970. Rare and unique piece of music memorabilia. Provenance: This item originally belonged to the immigration officer who had Frank fill out the card before boarding. The story was always that the officer then refused entry to Sinatra and his entourage to the aircraft because Sinatra's guards were carrying firearms. Frank, after filling out the card, then walked off and returned at a later time to deal with a different Immigration Officer. The first officer kept this card a souvenir at the time.

A .177'' ORIGINAL MODEL 23 AIR RIFLE made in Rastatt Germany which bears no serial number, however it does bear a date stamp of 12 73, it has a blade foresight and metal ramp rear sight, its blued metal finish is lightly rust speckled and its breech stock has some scratches, it is in good working order, these first appeared on the market in late 1951 (THE PURCHASER MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OVER)
