AN UNUSUAL LARGE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH TAXIDERMY AUTOMATON the glazed cabinet enclosing a blossoming bush with singing humming birds flying from branch to branch, another bird standing on the floor drinking next to the waterfall, the spring driven movement and bellows concealed in the wooden base 70cm high, 51.5cm wide This is in very good untouched condition. There is no maker stamp. Works well, see the video attached. Small losses to flower petals and leaves. Consistent with age. The birds' feathers' are in good condition. The paint on the glazed case is lifting in places.

Verschraubtes Emblem mit doppeltem Lorbeer- und Eichenlaubkranz, darauf aufgelegt der emaillierte Stern des Hausordens. Kreuzblatt mit vier Sternschrauben, davor das Bandeau "1621", gekehlte Schraubspitze hessischer Form. Flache, lederunterfütterte Schuppenketten an Steckrosetten, komplett mit beiden Kokarden (Landeskokarde in hessischer Form). Gelbgrünes Seidenripsfutter, ockerfarbenes Lederschweißband, rot bzw. grün unterfütterte Schirme, alte Größenangabe "56". Dazu der feldgraue Helmüberzug für Offiziere (vereinzelt leicht fleckig, kleine Altreparatur, Stempel "D.R.P."). Außerdem separat ein silbernes Kreuzblatt mit vier Sternsplinten und Dienstspitze hessischer Form. Im originalen Helmkoffer. Partiell leicht beschädigt, Trage- und Altersspuren. With field-grey helmet cover for officers (slightly spotty here and there, small old repair, "D.R.P." stamp). Also enclosed a silver cruciform base with four star brads and service spike of Hessian form. In original helmet case. Partially slightly damaged, signs of wear and age. Generalleutnant Karl Friedrich Ludwig von Hellwig (1775 - 1845) - prunkvoller Adlerkopfsäbel zum Erwerb des Eisernen Kreuzes II. und I. Klasse in den Befreiungskriegen 1813 Geschwungene, breit gekehlte Rückenklinge mit zweischneidiger Spitze, über der Fehlschärfe zu etwa einem Drittel mit vergoldeten Trophäen und Lorbeerzweigen sowie Herstellerätzung "S & S", "in Solingen" (Schimmelbusch & Sohn). Das Messinggefäß mit teils erhaltener Feuervergoldung und reliefiertem Trophäen-, Eichenlaub- und Akanthusdekor an Bügel und am Griffrücken, die Parierlappen mit terzseitig aufgelegtem Landwehrkreuz, quartseitig mit Trophäen, die Parierstange gepunzt "1 7 7 2" und mit undeutlicher Marke. Lederbezogenes Griffstück mit feiner Messingdrahtwicklung. Messingscheide mit zwei beweglichen Trageringen und eisernem Schleppblech, der obere Tragering mit anhängender Sammlungsplombe. Unterhalb des Mundblechs Gravur "Major K.L.F.v.Hellwig - 12.04.1813 EK II - 23.04.1813 EK I". Dazu der lederne (beschädigt) Faustriemen mit silberner Quaste. Länge des Säbels 94,5 cm, Gesamtlänge 102 cm.Wunderschöner und historisch bedeutender Säbel in sehr schöner Erhaltung.Rudolf Karl Friedrich Heinrich Ludwig von Hellwig tritt 1790 als Junker dem Husarenregiment von Koehler Nr. 3 bei, nimmt 1792-94 am Feldzug gegen Frankreich teil, wird 1794 Kornett, 1799 Secondelieutenant, wird 1806/07 beim Überfall auf Eisenach verwundet und erhält hierfür am 23.2.1807 der Pour le Mérite. 1812 wird er Major und erhält für die Langensalza neben dem Eisernen Kreuz II. Klasse auch den russischen St.-Georgs-Orden 4. Klasse. Wenige Tage später wird ihm für den Überfall bei Wanfried am 18.4.1813 das Eiserne Kreuz I. Klasse verliehen. Im März 1815 wird er Kommandeur des 9. Husarenregiments, im Oktober zum Oberstlieutenant und 1819 zum Oberst ernannt. 1830 wird er Kommandeur der 15. Kavalleriebrigade, 1831 Generalmajor und erhält - neben zahlreichen weiteren Auszeichnungen zuvor - 1836 den Roten Adlerorden II. Klasse mit Eichenlaub. 1838 wird er mit einer jährlichen Pension von 2250 Talern als Generallieutenant verabschiedet. The languet with appliquéd Landwehr cross on the obverse, trophies on the reverse. The quillons hallmarked "1 7 7 2" and another, illegible stamp. Leather-covered grip wrapped with fine brass wire. The brass scabbard with two movable suspension rings and iron drag, the upper suspension ring with a collection seal still attached. Engraved "Major K.L.F.v.Hellwig - 12.04.1813 EK II - 23.04.1813 EK I" below the locket. Comes with the leather thong (damaged) with a silver tassel. Length of the sabre 94.5 cm, total length 102 cm.Magnificent sabre of historical significance. In beautiful condition.Rudolf Karl Friedrich Heinrich Ludwig von Hellwig joined Koehler's Hussar Regiment No. 3 as Junker in 1790, fought in the French campaign of 1792-94, was promoted to Kornett in 1794 and Secondelieutenant in 1799. He was wounded in the attack on Eisenach in 1806/07, for which he received the Pour le Mérite on 23 February 1807. He was promoted to Major in 1812 and was awarded both the Iron Cross 2nd Class and the Russian Order of St. George 4th Class for the Battle of Langensalza. A few days later, he was presented with the Iron Cross 1st Class for the attack on Wanfried on 18 April 1813. He took command of the 9th Hussar Regiment in March 1815. In October, he was promoted to Oberstlieutenant and to Oberst in 1819. In 1830, he became commander of the 15th Cavalry Brigade, rising to Generalmajor in 1831 and was awarded, along with scores of other decorations beforehand, the Order of the Red Eagle 2nd Class with Oak Leaves in 1836. Der Rücken signiert "Carl Kaiser & Co. Solingen". Ehemals feuervergoldetes Messingbügelgefäß mit fein reliefiertem Blüten- und Blattdekor, am Griffrücken die Tughra Abdülhamids II. in Strahlenkranz und über Trophäenbündel, der Parierlappen terzseitig mit erneutem Hoheitszeichen des Osmanischen Reichs und quartseitig mit der tief geschlagenen Namensbezeichnung "v.d. Golz". Fischhauthilze mit Messingdrahtwicklung. Vernickelte Stahlscheide (partiell fleckig) mit zwei beweglichen Trageringen und Schleppblech. Länge des Säbels 97,5 cm, Gesamtlänge 100 cm.In Solingen vorgefertigter Prunksäbel und im Osmanischen Reich individuell fertiggestellter Geschenksäbel (Tughra und Namensbezeichnung), der von der Goltz-Pascha entweder zu seiner Ernennung als osmanischer Marschall (Müschir) mit dem Titel Pascha oder zu seinem Abschied 1895 nach erfolgreicher Reorganisation der osmanischen Armee verliehen wurde.Bedeutender Geschenksäbel der deutsch-osmanischen Militärverbundenheit des ausgehenden 19. Jhdts. Nickel-plated steel scabbard (stained in places) with two movable suspension rings and drag. Fürst Otto von Bismarck in der Uniform der Seydlitz-Kürassiere mit Kürassierhelm, langem Rock und hohen Sporenstiefeln, die linke Hand aufgestützt auf den Kürassierdegen. Vereinzelt kleine Druckstellen, grüne Alterspatina, Gebrauchs- und Altersspuren. Höhe 86 cm, Gewicht ca. 35 kg. In allen Einzelheiten detailliert ausgeführte, vollplastische Figur, die Haltung und Charakter Bismarcks treffend ausdrückt. Sehr selten in dieser Größe. Wilhelm Albermann studierte während seiner Militärdienstzeit in Uniform an der Berliner Kunstakademie und ist mit monumentalen Werken vor allem im Rheinland präsent.
