An interesting collection of mostly German (including a few Austrian and other) postal covers from the 1930’s, many airmail, several with Zeppelin stamps and postmarks, including a Deutsche Zeppelin Reederei cover for the centenary of the birth of Ferdinand von Zeppelin, with special stamps and postmarks, an unused Deutsche Zeppelin Reederei envelope, another cover with Zeppelin centenary stamps and postmarks, a card with Luftschiff postmarks and the stamp of “Luftschiff Hindenburg Olympiafahrt 1936”, another cover with similar Olympiafahrt stamp and airmail postmarks, etc, approximately 40 items; also a quantity of loose German stamps from the 1930s, both used and mint unused blocks, contained in a modern loose leaf plastic pocket album. A good rare early pattern Third Reich double decal Luftwaffe Paratrooper’s helmet, the scratch finished camouflage painted skull with almost obliterated Luftwaffe eagle and tricolour shield decals, the inner rim stamped “CKL 71”, with early style bolt heads and stout wire cage for attaching foliage, the leather lining with liner size stamp and manufacturer’s code “RB-NpO-6250/0201”, with leather chinstraps to which is attached an old typed postal label, dated 21. Dec 1943 bearing an American 9 Cents stamp, from “Sgt M Grant 2455083 62 ABN DIV 508 PIN Regt” to “Ms P Mitchell 7387 Ace Ave, Wash. DC”. GC (some service wear) Plate 4

Lea Stamp Importer & Philatelic Publisher, 36 Cross Street, Manchester"
An early 20th century French kingwood and walnut bedstead in the Louis XV taste with cast gilt bronze foliate and olive branch mounts, the quartered panelled headboard cross-banded and satinwood strung, the footboard with sunburst decoration in the Art Deco taste, raised on splayed square tapered supports, the headboard bearing metal plaque inscribed "Ebenisterie, Bronzes - Haentgés Frères Fabricants. 6 Rue Titon-Paris", the footboard and side rails bearing stencilled stamp "Haentgés Frès Fabricants 6 & 19 Rue Titon Paris" CONDITION REPORTS Overall wear and scuffs. Some separating at joints. Some pins missing from the ormolu mounts. Various knocks and chips to edges. Some fading. Some chunks and chips missing to feet which would originally have had ormolu mounts (only one of the four mounts to the feet now present).
