A good rare early pattern Third Reich double decal Luftwaffe Paratrooper’s helmet, the scratch finished camouflage painted skull with almost obliterated Luftwaffe eagle and tricolour shield decals, the inner rim stamped “CKL 71”, with early style bolt heads and stout wire cage for attaching foliage, the leather lining with liner size stamp and manufacturer’s code “RB-NpO-6250/0201”, with leather chinstraps to which is attached an old typed postal label, dated 21. Some separating at joints. Some pins missing from the ormolu mounts. Various knocks and chips to edges. Some fading. Some chunks and chips missing to feet which would originally have had ormolu mounts (only one of the four mounts to the feet now present).
