Gold (9ct) and enamel sweetheart brooch, Victorian brooch set with purple stone, locket on chain and four gold dress rings CONDITION REPORT Sweetheart brooch- measures approx 23mm x 21mm. Weighs approx 4.7g.The pin clasp has some movement but stays shut securely. The red enamel plaque on the front is in good condition. The yellow gold is rubbing off to reveal rose gold. Back of brooch is stamped D&F 9ct.Locket on chain- back of locket stamped 9ct the makers initials E.G? Stamp is slightly rubbed.
A silver hilted smallsword by William Kinman circa 1760, 82.5cm triangular section incurved blade, characteristic silver hilt with boat-shell guard decorated with reeded borders, the reeded decoration continuing throughout the hilt, to the guard and pommel, silver wire and ribbon bound wooden grip, the underside of the guard bearing maker's stamp of WK.
A .750 calibre flintlock service musket to the 42nd (Black Watch) Regiment, 39inch barrel incised 42 REG, border engraved lock stamped with a crown over GR and TOWER across the tail, full stock, the butt with WD stamp, regulation brass mounts, steel ramrod. One side plate screw and the barrel tang screw lacking, stock scrubbed.
An 18-bore 18th Century Spanish flintlock sporting gun by Guiano, 36.5inch sighted two-stage tapering barrel with slightly flared muzzle, chiselled with a band of foliage at the transitional point and inset with gold maker's tablets at the breech and further inlaid in silver J,N L,A, the brass panned lock with maker's stamp shrouded on either side with engraved acanthus scrolls, full stock carved with foliate flourishes at the barrel tang and ramrod pipe, plain steel mounts with the exception of the trigger guard which is set with a further gold maker's tablet, ivory capped wooden ramrod.
A mid 20th century Dutch silver three piece tea set, Utrecht, the milk jug and lidded sugar bowl are stamped with the 833 standard mark, the teapot is stamped with the .934 standard mark, bearing export mark for the Netherlands, also stamped with import mark and silver control stamp for Sweden, the teapot 17 x 23 x 13cm, 1,122g (36.07t oz) gross.
