Ceylon : 1857-1956 A used collection in stockbook, with imperfs (1-3 margins) ½d, 1d(3), 2d(3), 5d, 6d(2), 10d & 1/-; perf types x 15 with vals to 2/-; most earlies with faults; 1866-68 1d & 3d, then a good run of QV definitives and overprints from 1885 & 1888 series, includes 5c on 48c rose(cat £65), 1r12 on 2r50 rose x 2; `two cents` opts x 8, later to 2r 25 blue,; Edwards to 2r & Stamp Duty 2r & 5r; KGV duplicated definitives with 1912 vals to 10r & 20r (both fiscal used), these two nice looking bur with faults; later KGV to 5r, Silver Jubilee set, KGVI to both shades of 5r, later vals to 10r plus a few On Service QV & KEVII vals. Condition mixed but much fine material and a good base for expansion, a few nice postmarks, no perfs/watermarks checked so possible finds (300+)

Great Britain - QV (line engraved) : (SG 43/4) 1808-79 1d red plates 71 to 224 complete but remarkably, JUST ABOUT EVERY STAMP WITH CDS or part cds with numeral, v.g.u. Many years effort, possibly a philatelic lifetime, have gone into this endeavor. The basic stamps appear generally sound, good to fine. Plate numbers have been randomly checked and all appear accurate, but we cannot guarantee this. How easy to replicate this achievement? RARELY OFFERED THUS. Cat approx £3000 incl premium. [US4]

Egypt - British Forces : (SG A10) 1935 Silver Jubilee 1p blue letter stamp in a fine mint block of eight, slightly off white gum, no tone spots, incredibly scarce muliple with six stamps unmounted, the lower left stamp (unmounted) shows constant variety thin ""N"" which occurs once in the setting of 10. Rare piece with unmounted mint examples currently exchangimg hands at £300+/- each (image available)

Great Britain - QV (line engraved) : (SG 20a/23a) 1855 2d blue plate 5 (Die I. Alph.II) matching examples perf 14 & 16, lettered F-G, with strong coloured markings in letter corners giving impression of double letters. Perf 16 example is in blue shade, lightly used and quite well centered, the perf 14 in deeper blue has an Aberdeen barred numeral with a little overinking at NE corner of stamp & is centered to the SW corner.
